Arcane Episode 6 Reaction

Sorry the sound on us was softer on this one. We think we may have not had our mic fully plugged in. Act 3. Episodes 7-9 are coming out first weekend of February. February 4-6

The next show we will be watching after Arcane is Cobra Kai (starting with Season 4 as we have already seen the first three seasons)

Arcane Episode 6 Reaction

That was our first League of Legends video we watched 😊

Bethany and Ken

I dont know if you remember it because when you reacted to the music Video Warrior some month ago, Vi and Caitlyn are in it :)

Show does an amazing job giving us characters to relate to. 🥰😊🤗

Honestly those are very good points. I think outside of the suicide thing, which as a person that has been there a couple times (and I could see why he would want to there even if it's the worst thing he could do), he does actually overreact a lot yea. I hadn't thought of it that way. Think I've been in Jayce's shoes one too many times as well, so I connected with him more than Heimer. This show truly is amazing! I remember seeing EP3 when it came out and reading peoples choices about VI and Powder at the time. Love it when writers get people so engaged! Last act is gonna be a ride strap in!

Heimerdinger's biggest flaw (which Jayce rightfully calls out) is that he lacks empathy. He only looks at things through a lense of being able to live a long life and that every year, and in Viktor's case, every day, isn't that important. However, Viktor and Jayce aren't able to see that with age and experience comes wisdom. Being able to learn from past mistakes. Those that refuse to acknowledge history are doomed to repeat it. The biggest flaw of most of these characters is thinking that their way is the only way. 🙂

Thanks so much, Felix! Glad you enjoy our style because it's just us being us which is how we've approached this journey of ours. 😊🤗

Love this show for how much conversation it starts and the different perspectives it gives. 😀We can see Jayce's perspective and get why he did it. Doesn't mean we agree with it. But love all the support he is getting. Don't think either person here is 100% in the right. Agreed that Heimerdinger is way too vague about the past and what he has seen and how things can go wrong. But like....Jayce and Victor could ask him to further explain. They can try to make a compromise. Okay, how about instead of 2-10 years, we just make it a year? Obviously Victor can't wait that long, but a great question this show poses is, "What's the cost of progress?" And I would also argue that Jayce in particular is extremely overreactive. First case in point: He gets kicked out of the academy and his answer is....to kill himself. Second: Heimerdinger tells him to wait, so instead of negotiating with him, he just stabs him in the back and kicks him off the council. Also, Jayce's feelings about helping the undercity tend to go back and forth a lot as we see in the next episode and even this one when he orders the blockade. Again, entirely reactive instead of gathering all the information and making a more well informed decision. He is overly impulsive instead of Heimerdingers overly cautious approach. Which they do a great job of mirroring Vander's 'lets not get our people killed in a civil war approach" against Silco's 'hey, who cares who dies as long as it's not me and we can be free from topsiders' method. A great show, poses great questions like this which leads to great discussion 😊🤗🥳🥳

This show in particular is very good at creating characters that, by their actions, don't fall into any sort of pure black & white scheme. The question gets rather philosophical when you try to find the line between good & evil, evaluated on an axis of actions versus motivations. How often or how badly can a character mess up if their motivations are pure before they should be considered evil?

Viktor isn't evil even 1%. Remember what he said to Heimer in the previous episode – he cares very deeply about helping the people in the Fissures & the Undercity. That's what he became a scientist for. He wants to help them, and that he's dying with the technology to accomplish so much right there causes his desperation. That Heimer not only wants to delay but outright destroy it doesn't help this, either.

Pom de Terre

I just binge-watched the latest 3 episodes and I absolutely cant wait for the next three! Also I have to say that I really love your reaction style. You are just taking in what you are seeing and really focusing on it, instead of almost talking constantly like other people do, I really like that :)

The thing with Heimer is that he's at the time of the show at least 300 years old and seemingly hasn't lifted much of a finger to progress real issues in the city. All he's done towards Jayce and Victor is be an obstacle in their chance to further research by being negative. Regardless of the good points he makes he never seems to fully explain why, "Don't make this. I've seen this go bad once." No context or explanation, which seems really backwards when you say that to 2 people who truly believe they're trying to do good (and in the process save Victor's life) Jayce is basically saying that Heimer is too stuck in his own ways haltering their progress because of things that happened (prob) hundreds of years ago and does not do enough himself to further said progress and that a new way is necessary. Personally I agree with this 100%. IF Heimer had for instance build a water/air filtration system to lessen the fissure exposure and make it save for kids to play in the water like shown at the start okay, but he didn't do that. Victor did. Sorry for the rant I hope it was at least a bit informative in making you understand why Jayce did what he did.

We were worried about Season 3 of Cobra Kai and it held up so we have high hopes for Season 4 and believe it was Netflix's most popular show in January. And we tend to be more suspicious of characters for some reason we think everyone has a hidden agenda that isn't our main protagonist 😂🤗

Bethany and Ken

haha, yep. Whoops! We just had 7-9 on the brain I guess 😂

Bethany and Ken

Thank you for sharing your experience with Arcane. Iam looking forward to see the last 3 with you and iam interested in your final thoughts about the characters at the end. It's funny how you always so suspicious about Victor, only because he did the right things and is a very nice, understandable character. Cobra Kai Season 4 is also cool to see next. Haven't seen it yet, but I hope it can hold up to the first 3. ;)

"Act 3. Episodes 7-9 are coming out first weekend of February. February 7-9" But isnt the first weekend 4-6?
