2022-12-18 16:45:31 +0000 UTCI think Gohan was slightly stronger than either of them, since he seems to be capable of getting the upper hand briefly against 17, until 18 steps in to help. He could beat one of them, but not both of them. Trunks, on the other hand, isn't really at that level. They're just playing around with him.

Because of that they will always be at max combat capacity, whereas Gohan and Trunks will eventually get tired or worn out as a fight drags on. Couple that with the unfair numbers advantage, and Trunks never had a prayer against them.

They tied it back to that episode where you can see Trunks from this scene saying "Daddy?" This next bit I posted on another reaction, but I don't know if you guys saw it. "Also, if you guys recall, in ep 26, there was a segment where a planet full of psychics made a bunch of predictions. They weren't wrong. They mention Trunks twice. The timestamp is 1:48 (if wanting to better appreciate it)."

2022-12-16 19:12:50 +0000 UTCAww, got to this one just a little early. Still, loved seeing your reaction to this episode. Trunks has a truly miserable backstory, and it makes a lot of sense why he goes for the throat more often than other characters in DBZ. He doesn't come from a world of heroes, he comes from a world where all the heroes have died. Naturally his mercy and love for the sport of fighting are kind of drained after seeing Gohan's death. That being said, here's something fun about Trunks' moveset. Most characters have some manner of theme to their move names, for example Raditz had moves named after days of the week. Ginyu, a dairy reference, has a move called Milky Cannon. Recoome is very very subtle, but each of his moves are actually named after himself. Yes, even in the actual show. With Trunks, he is considered the last light of hope in the world. Following this theme, all of his moves have names inspired by being that burning light of hope: Shining Attack, Burning Attack, and Heat Dome as examples.

2022-12-16 00:04:29 +0000 UTCBulma was a main character in OG Dragonball, but she was heavily demoted in Dragon Ball Z as the cast became more bloated. She kind of regains her status as a main supporting cast member in Dragon Ball Super. But in Z she is very much is a minor character. Trunks didn't really get any stronger between the end of this movie and when we see him kill Frieza (his departure in the time machine and his fight with Frieza were probably only a few hours apart from his perspective). Trunks is enormously powerful; he's much stronger than Goku was on Namek. It's just that the Androids are SO strong, they make him seem like a weakling.

You have trunks, bulma’s mom Panchy, and her future daughter who’s name was originally Bra, but they changed it because. You know, 14 year olds looking up Bra trying to find the character would uhh Not end well. Also bulma’s sister named Tights I think
