Do keep in mind that the lore you're watchin rn is more revies, updated and expanded upon after Shadowkeep DLC either through the big DLCs like Shadowkeep, Beyond Light or the Witch Queen, or through the seasons that accompanied them. There a far more revelations, twists and insights to be had in the lore to come.

I wanted to comment on the last episode, but the 1st part you watched, the books of sorrow, is written from the perspective of Oryx, the Taken King, which is obviously sympathetic to him and his Hive. it even blames the Traveler for the tragedy that was gonna befell them. But Savathun, his cunning sister, The Witch Queen, knows better. Why else would she scribble "Lies" all over the books? The Witch Queen will be very important, starting small in D2, growing ever more present, until her DLC dropped last year. What interactions she may have with another infamous Queen, who could say ;)

Thank you for the intro haha. The birth of the Awoken is some of the coolest and confusing lore imo. I won't spoil much, but the Queen is in a better state now lore and story wise.

Very glad to hear we will be getting more of her and that she may play a bigger part in the latest expansion 😀

An intro? Just for me? 🥹 Aw shucks. I really loved how vested you guys got into the story of Mara and the Distributary. It's the less flashy part of the lore that can be easy to dismiss, but with the way the story is heading with this months release of Lightfall, i think Mara, her history, and her mission might be more important than ever. Rest assured, however, that you'll see of her between starting your Destiny 2 journey and the new expansion!
