I found it crazy that Vegeta wouldn't jump into the fight but his dad taught him otherwise, obey Frieza (which Vegeta did until he had the chance to stop him with the Dragonballs) and fear the Legendary Super Saiyan. When confronted with this pure evil, Vegeta remembered what he learned and froze up.

2023-03-12 19:01:09 +0000 UTC3 things I got about this one. 1. The guy that was screaming while Goku was talking to him was Mercenary Tao, a serious threat from original Dragon Ball. There's also another name Goku drops in there, "that monster, Pilaf." That is the name of the main villain from the first arc of Dragon Ball. Pilaf was practically a non-threat back then, so Goku calling him a monster is extra funny. 2. Broly's motivation is 100% accurate. They did not exaggerate or change anything. The only difference is that TFS said Goku cried "for like, 3 hours." Otherwise, yes, Broly went berserk because Goku cried next to him. 3. A line that the writers are sad has aged so poorly: "Don't worry, I think it's your movie next." Bojack Unbound is a Gohan-centric movie that takes place after season 3. TeamFourStar was writing it, but they had so little to work with and were so burnt out that that's when they stopped the show.

2023-03-12 18:04:14 +0000 UTCIn the original movie the reason why vegeta was sitting back there and not fighting broly was because he was too intimidated by him, piccolo even dragged vegeta by his hair to come fight broly but piccolo just dropped vegeta on that building because he figured vegeta was being too much of a coward. Eventually vegeta did go and fight broly. He got destroyed but at least he tried. Not one of vegetas best moments.. But I guess him being intimidated by broly isn't canon since the original broly isn't canon. The new broly you saw in the death battle is the canon one.

2023-03-12 17:29:07 +0000 UTCMercenary Tao, the guy screaming, was an assassin in Dragon Ball that tried to kill Goku. Goku beat him by kicking a grenade he threw at Goku back at him that's why he has lens for eyes. He's also the brother of Tien and Chiaotzu's former martial arts teacher.
