From MK Deadly Alliance to MK Armageddon, everyone had two fighting styles each, except in Armageddon where everyone has one cause it was so many characters. Noob-Smoke would switch between Noob and Smoke with each fighting style.

2023-04-01 20:09:09 +0000 UTCAbout time you two. About what Beth said, you missed the entire 3D era. Mk4/Gold to Armageddon (and MKvsDC, which was the first game that was released by NRS). It's when MK turned from a 2D sidescrolling arcade game, to a 3D arena fighting game. Meaning you can walk not only front and back like MK1-3, and MK2011-MK11, but up and down sideways, basically anywhere the arena let's you. You can pick up weapons and hit your opponents off the arena into death traps or a new section. Also around this era, your characters had 2 fighting stances and a weapon, plus the fatality stance. Hara-Kiris were mostly used if you wanted to take away the glory of your opponents fatalitying you. Basically a big "fuck you, I'm not letting you finish me off". Ashrah is one of my personal favorites of the 3D era. She's a demon from the Netherrealm that wishes to be pure. She looks that way because her sword, the Kriss purifies the user as it kills demons. She's known as the Edenian demon, since we see her in Edenia. You've actually seen Li-Mei before in MKX where she's just an NPC. But in the OG timeline, she was enslaved by Kano to help build palaces. She rebelled and fought Kano, afterwards Shang Tsung promised that if Li-Mei were to win the Deadly Alliance tournament she and the others would be freed. Hotaru comes from Orderrealm, Seido, if I remember correctly he's a general and he mostly uses fire and flight. Havik is Hotaru's opposite, as he comes from Chaosrealm, he's a maniac that dislocates his limbs for fun. There is a theory that Havik was once part of the guard from Seido. Kira, she and Kobra were recruited by Kabal to join the Black Dragon Clan. I don't remember correctly, but she does have Kano's cannonball and Sonya's kiss of death. I don't know much about Darrius, all I know is he's close to Havik. Dairou is very forgettable. Shujinko is the protagonist of Deception and the reason Onaga was revived. He has the ability to mimic others, and spent years learning and mimicking other combatants. You've seen him briefly in Cassie Cage's ending for MKX, where she was hunting down Shang Tsung and elbowed who she thought was Shang Tsung. She asks for their name, and very weakly they respond with "Shujinko".
