Hmm. We are using the DBZ Kai Final Chapters DVD box set. Bought it on Ebay because we couldn't find any place streaming the actual show π€ How are you watching it?

It does give away certain elements of what is to come but doesn't feel like any big reveals happen so far that were spoiled in titles. π€

2023-04-27 20:54:58 +0000 UTCThis arc always felt almost like Sailor Moon, to me. It's got the same kind of ludicrous, campy energy do it. Vegeta's slow evolution from evil galactic warlord to settled family man is still a work in progress. But he's certainly getting there. Having Bulma smoke was an attempt to invoke her father (he's a chain smoker and there's barely a scene in the manga where he doesn't have a cigarette in his mouth). I think Toriyama had initially toyed with the idea that her father had died during the timeskip, and the idea was Bulma would smoke to remind herself of him when she's working. But it wasn't popular with the fanbase, so they abandoned it. We never see Bulma smoking again.
