True. It's tough to recognize you are in an abusive relationship and then even tougher to pull yourself out of it 😒

Bethany and Ken

In regards to Adam: In the aftermath of Yang "hurting" Mercury after the match was called, Blake talks about "someone very dear to her" changing. That it was gradual and started as small accidents, slowly escalating to self-defence etc. The culmination of it all we could see in the Black trailer when she and Adam were raiding the train and he was very willing and intending to risk (and most likely take) the lives of the train's crew before Blake uncoupled the wagons and left. She was definitely holding out and hoping for a long time before she realised it would only get worse and not better, then pulled herself out of it. And props to her as so many people in abusive relationships don't have the strength to go through with that, especially all alone.

Phaerroh

He's so easy to hate 🀬😝

Bethany and Ken

I love how much they hate Adam.

Rinnzu Rosendale

Haha, that would be nice. Maybe in the abridged version 😜

In my heart of hearts there is a cut scene from the end of Vol 3 of #rwby were Roman blasts his way out of the griffin and yells "Where the fuck is my hat"

MenacingScone

In the finale, there is a scene, where Cinder manipulated an arrow to avoid the shield, which she could have done before too (they made that scene, so the fandom doesn't hate Jaune for turning around, it wouldn't have made any difference)

Btw, Weiss has always had a semblance. Weiss' semblance is the glyphs she summons. They have multiple effects, like reversing gravity and time dilation. She's just unlocked a new aspect of her semblance, summoning creatures she's defeated ( the giant sword is from the giant knight from her trailer).

Kaiser Kold

Yup, while watching it we are yelling at Jaune, but in a later episode, believe it is the last one, on our post discussion we talk about how if put in his position, where he knows absolutely nothing about what's going on, it's completely understandable the way he reacted and we don't blame him at all. πŸ€—

Bethany and Ken

😒

Bethany and Ken

Fearless 🀩

Bethany and Ken

Ah okay. Thanks for clearing that up. Was getting confused on the semblance πŸ€—

Bethany and Ken

Poor Jaune people were always having a go at Jaune for looking away from guarding, but ya gotta think like this, Jaune heard his friend scream in pain he is naturally gonna turn around to see why and be worried :( we all would xx

Darren

"Yang better show up this episode." Oof

Alex Smith

Yes!, Someone picked up what I was puttin downπŸ‘

Domex 39

A "Goddamnit Barbara" seems appropriate here.

Grimm is very attracted to negative emotion, and Roman surely showed a lot of negativity while Ruby always remained stoic.

Vi

And there it is, guess you could this episode was a bit disarming

So the thing with Velvet - you identified earlier that she's based on the Velveteen Rabbit fairy tale, the theme of which is "being made real". Of all the characters in the show, Velvet's Semblance and her weapon are one of the most perfectly aligned. Her Semblance is Mimic - she can mimic the fighting styles of anyone she watches, and her weapon is her camera. She takes a photo of someone's weapons - which is why she was taking a picture of Sun's gunchucks in episode 8 - and then the camera produces a hard-light Dust version of the weapon. But she can only use each "photo" once before she would have to take a new picture to be able to use it again. I don't think it's ever been confirmed, but I think depending on how she uses the photo-weapon determines how long it lasts before it fades away. As for Weiss - she wasn't having trouble with her basic Semblance - her glyphs that let her make the platforms and do various effects if she infuses Dust into them - she was having trouble with her Summoning, which is the more "evolved" stage of her Glyphs.
