And on a side note, if you play Light Side Sith Warrior, they are actually the kindest and most sweet of all the classes - at least imo as someone who has played all classes twice(one for each alignment)

GrimmxLaw22

Each class has its own unique story. There are light side choices and dark side choices and depending what you choose, that will determine how people speak to you or think of you. For instance, make a bad decision as a Republic and a companion just might yell(literally) at you for doing so in private conversations with you. The story for the expansions don’t matter for class or gender, but definitely change according to alignment options you choose.

Each class has its own unique story that crossesover at points with others

One of the best MMOs I've ever played in terms of story, and class fantasy. Sith Inquisitor for love, and life! Important to keep in mind that your character's good/evil alignment isn't determined by your class, or faction. It's determined by your choices in the story. The Republic can be just as corrupt as the Sith Empire, and the Sith Empire has plenty of good people just being the best they can be under the Sithocracy. The Imperial Agent can simply be a damn professional. Bounty Hunters are no different than Din Djarin. The Smuggler, and Trooper can be real cold blooded mass murdering assholes. Even the force users aren't locked into any altruistic, or evil behavior. Sith, and Jedi are just religious titles after all. Like yes, individual members of each order might get imprisoned, or executed for not behaving in accordance to their respective creeds, but it's hard to justify letting go of such powerful agents in the middle of a galactic war. As long as you don't act against the interests of your faction/order, you'll at best suffer a scolding, or maybe you'll simply be denied a promotion. As for the story. Each class has it's own story, as well as their faction story, but once the expansions begin, everyone's story collapses into one story. However, the dialogue remains different based on your class, and faction. I despise the current kyber crystal lore. Would've preferred they left the color it to the personal preference of the user. Not everything needs symbolism. None of it makes any sense anyways since kyber crystals aren't even locked into any one user.

For the story, each side the Republic and the Sith Empire has their own storyline than all classes on that side do. And than each class have their own story as well. And each class can play as male or female, and a few different races to choose from. So to get the full story you need to play all 8 classes. For the Republic we have, without any spoilers: Jedi Knight - The Jedi Knight storyline follows the player's journey to become a true Jedi and stop the Sith Empire's return. Jedi Consular - The Jedi Consular storyline involves the player navigating political intrigues while combating a new threat to the Jedi Order. Smuggler - The Smuggler storyline follows the player's adventures in smuggling and dealing with various factions, including the Republic and the Hutt Cartel. Trooper - The Trooper storyline involves the player leading a special forces unit in the Republic's fight against the Sith Empire. For The Sith Empire: Sith Warrior - The Sith Warrior storyline involves the player's rise through the ranks of the Sith Empire, and their eventual confrontation with their former mentor. Sith Inquisitor - The Sith Inquisitor storyline involves the player acquiring power and knowledge through Sith artifacts and relics. Bounty Hunter - The Bounty Hunter storyline follows the player's rise as a renowned bounty hunter, taking on high-profile targets across the galaxy. Imperial Agent - The Imperial Agent storyline involves the player navigating the shadowy world of espionage and dealing with political machinations within the Sith Empire. At least for the base game. Haven't play it's in years, have no clue how the expansion packs work story wise. As for purple color sabers. In the Star Wars prequel, Mace Windu's purple lightsaber was a creative decision made by Lucas. Samuel L. Jackson, had requested a unique lightsaber color so that he could easily spot himself during large battle scenes. Lucas agreed to Jackson's request and gave Windu a purple lightsaber, which was made with a unique purple hilt and blade color. The exact reason for Windu's purple lightsaber within the Star Wars universe was not explained in the movies, but it has since been addressed in both Star Wars' new canon and old expanded universe after the moives came out. In the new canon: Purple lightsabers are relatively rare and are typically associated with Jedi who have unique connections to the Force. Windu's lightsaber crystal was infused with a rare mineral called "Sith blood," which gave the blade its distinctive purple hue. In the old lore of the expanded universe that they throw out when Disney got their hands on SW.... Purple lightsabers were said to be the result of a Jedi combining a blue crystal and a red crystal during the lightsaber construction process. This was thought to symbolize the Jedi's ability to bridge the gap between the Light and Dark Sides of the Force. In the game, we can choose whatever color we want for our sabers by changing what crystals are in them no matter which side we pick. Fun side note in the the expanded universe. The Sith's red crystals were created through a process of synthetic crystal growth, in which the crystals were imbued with the dark side of the Force during the growth process. The Sith would use a combination of alchemy, dark side rituals, and their own dark emotions to imbue the crystals with the power of the dark side. The process was dangerous and unpredictable, and it was not uncommon for Sith apprentices to be killed or driven mad during the process of creating their own red lightsabers. Wow that was a long post lol. This is what happens when I get started on the Old Republic era of Star Wars. :P

I played this for years and it was amazing. There is a good crafting system, and group content also if you are into that. I played a trooper (tank) and bounty hunter because....reasons lol. Individuals that use a purple lightsaber generally share an affinity with both the Light and Dark sides of the Force.
