one of my favorite heartbreaking things in this intro is just so small that no one ever really brings it up, when the into shows jaune Nora and Ren they are arranged Jaune, Nora, *Empty Space* Ren. JN R. they lost P also the Intro. Move Onward Not There Yet. M>O>N>T>Y

2023-06-03 02:56:05 +0000 UTCYeah that was one of our fears after this episode was how are they going to juggle telling the stories of the four main characters in such a short amount of time. Game of Thrones juggled a lot of different characters and houses but they had an hour to tell it. Doing it in 15-20 minutes is really tough to do so this season will almost feel like half a season it seems like ๐ค

Because each of the four main cast are now divided up, it's difficult to give enough screen time for each of the characters, while still progressing the story and setting up storylines for future volumes. The boy that was introduced in the beginning is named Oscar, you'll learn more about him and his connection to the story later on. Also this volume is when Rooster Teeth uses a new animation software. So everything looks a lot better(I think). I still enjoyed this volume despite all the complications that came with it. Can't wait to see you get into the rest of this volume!

2023-05-29 02:40:44 +0000 UTCYou mention how Jaune started off so oblivious and this episode shows how oblivious he truly was - you can see the rabbit on his hoodie from the very beginning on the show... that rabbit is Pumpkin Pete, as in from Pumpkin Pete's Marshmallow Flakes... the cereal that Pyhhra was on the box for... and he had to send in 50 box tops to get the hoodie, yet still had no idea who she was.

I'm very excited to see your reactions to the story moving forward, and in my opinion the show gets better every Volume, in both story and visuals. So they never say it in the show, but there's a bit of a timeskip from the end of V3 to the beginning of V4 of like 5 or 6ish months, so you're right that they do seem a bit older and more experienced. Also the fact that Jaune's hoodie has Pumpkin Pete on it, if you will remember all the way back in V1 Weiss says that Pyrrha is "on the front of every Pumpkin Pete's Marshmallow Flakes box." so that just makes that even sadder

She's experienced the horrors they all had and yet she's still trying to keep going and offering as much light into their world as possible despite it all. But it makes you wonder just how much of her own pain she may internalize at the same time, considering that can be quite common with people who try so hard to be a pillar for others.
