I wanted to post another update on the status of the Seamless Co-op mod for Dark Souls: Remastered.
Dark Souls has many unique online features which I felt shoudn't be lost entirely in seamless. As an interesting project, I decided to see if I could add some of these features into the mod bearing in mind the restrictions of not having a central server.
So far, I'm happy to announce that I've managed to implement functionaly similar features to the base game, such as:
Hearing the bell of awakening play when other players using the mod, not in your world, ring either one
Miracle resonance
Spiritual statues
Gravelording**
** Still in development, I'm hoping to get it more-or-less identical to how it works in the base game, but it is still presenting a fair amount of challenges.
Although adding these features has and will inevitably delay the mod from public release. I'm very motivated to add these obscure mechanics as they are something I enjoyed very much when I played the game for the first time.
I've also fixed several vanilla game / added some QoL improvements such as:
Fixing a bug which caused multiple iron balls to be fired (1 per additional player) in Sens' fortress
Allowing player light sources (such as the skull lantern) to illuminate other player's worlds
I still have no definitive ETA on when the mod will be available to play. When I have a time in mind, I will make a post here and likely make another video on it.
