Literally any response I write here feels like a "haha not spoiler wink wink" even without intending it. Just excited for you to see what comes next in general.

Oh yeah, we don't blame Ironwood or were trying to say that he meant to cut Winter off. But her being cutoff (by her choice) is (in our mind) what led to Ironwood trusting her more and grooming her as his second in command. Basically, Ironwood won't make you cutoff family and friends, but he chooses people to be in his inner circle that don't have many, if any, ties outside of Atlas. 🤗

Bethany and Ken

🤔

Bethany and Ken

Thanks! 😀

Bethany and Ken

Favorite characters 😯 High praise 😀

Bethany and Ken

I mean, he's kinda there already 😂🤗

Bethany and Ken

She was one of our favorite characters and has had her ups and downs so we want to see her and Neo and hoping she delivers something fun 😁

Bethany and Ken

We don't notice Yang's hair on fire for the entire first 6 seasons but we notice eyebrows! 😂🤗

Bethany and Ken

Among best of RWBY coming up?! Hell yeah! Very excited 😁

Bethany and Ken

Yeah, I was saying he probably dyes his so that he appears like a true Schnee.

I think the thing to keep in mind with Winter is that she didn't cut ties with her family because of Ironwood. She cut ties with her family because of the emotional and mental abuse Jacques was putting on her, and the emotional and mental trauma of watching her mother descend into alcoholism. In the military though, she was able to channel the trait of perfectionism that was forced on her in order to survive her parents, and funnel it into a career that brought her to the attention of Ironwood. She probably would have written off her family entirely if it wasn't for Weiss - a younger sister who reminds her of herself and the abuses she went through. She continues to endure her father and mother for Weiss' sake, but she has basically no relationship with her brother because Whitley isn't trying to break free of their father's grip as far as Winter can tell. Penny continues to be adorable - she is a robot, so it's hard to know how long they were working on her to program her / train her. But it would not surprise me if - even though she acts very much like a teenager - she's only really a couple of years old. In Vol 3, Ironwood said they'd been working on understanding aura and how it can be used for "several years", and Penny told Ruby in Vol 2 that "she is the first synthetic person able to generate an aura".

For Neon's bruise, it heals fast because of Aura. back in volume 1 Pyrrha had explained to Jaune that their Aura acts as their shields and in Volume 5, it was reaffirmed that it also heals to a certain extent. Jaune's Aura was amplifying Weiss' Aura in order for her to heal herself. Also back in Volume 1, we see Jaune's cut on his face vanish when his Aura is activated. Plus this recent volume, Weiss (in chapter 3) had explained that the temperatures in Solatas would kill someone in a few hours if they didn't have an active Aura. Can't wait for you to see the next chapters. From this point on, it's a wilder ride!

Mare

Actually Jacques isn't a Schnee by blood as pointed out by Weiss in Volume 4. Jacques married into the family for the business and Willow, his wife is the true Schnee (she's Nicolaus' daughter)

Mare

Maybe he was talking about "Cake".

Your hair looks Suave Ken

Finally, we meet probably my favourite characters : Robyn Hill and her Happy Huntresses. As you've probably guessed, they're based on Robinhood. Robyn is voiced by Christina Vee, one of my all-time favourite VAs.

lololFACTS

Dawnyel Bell

HA! Give it a chapter or 2 and Jacque will be downright deplorable LOLOL!

It feels like you've picked up on more than most reactors do in this episode. I won't point out most things cause spoilers but "where is Cinder" is not a usual thought we see :P Glad you're missing her though.

Lucifer_Crowe

Watts knows how to run a bakery cause that shit is science. And Tyrian is an artist.

Lucifer_Crowe

Done with Watts and Tyrian? Nohohohoho, prepare yourself Bethany, because those two are still cooking. And they also know how to bake a mean devil's food cake.

Ender

Never noticed the difference in eyebrows lol. If I had to guess, I'd say Jacque dyes his and Weiss inherited his, while Winter has the "true" Schnee brows.

Alex Smith

You want more villains? Lol, just hold onto your hats... all in due time. :D You are both doing such a tremendous job in your analyses of picking up the themes the Atlas storyline will be exploring, the show will continue to push and prod into those grey areas of trust and relationship and trying to explore what those lines are. A lot of these early Season 7 episodes are setting up all the pieces and relationships and putting growing pressure on them, so it might take a little time to hit critical mass, but I think the last three episodes of Season 7 are among the best RWBY has ever offered. This stretch of the narrative has also made me a Winter fan, in the fact that she has an actual character arc proceeding through the Atlas storyline. She's always been a critical person, but we are getting a chance to see some of her thoughtfulness and depth -- and the kinds of things she will need to work through as the series progresses. It is really nice to see the sisters being able to spend alone time together and actually find points of connection with each other, even if their paths and personalities are a bit different. I can't bring myself to hate Tyrian, he reminds me a lot of Villanelle from "Killing Eve." They are both harbingers of chaos, with a ton of style and humor in the process. (As Megamind says, what separates a routine villain from a supervillain is... presentation!)

Man, I cannot believe how close y'all are to Vol 8 and 9 so exciting.
