We heard its getting a remake on Netflix. That should condense the anime and update the animation (From what we've heard), if that ends up being done well and doesn't totally butcher the original source then that may be an option because 1000+ episodes for the anime is daunting π

2024-04-30 00:07:37 +0000 UTCIn the anime, Nami's mom (Belle-mere) was much more badass and put up a much bigger fight. In the anime, Luffy walks away before Nojiko tells their tragic tale of losing Belle-mere. So when Nami asks for help (which the scene is taken right from the manga / anime), Luffy doesn't hesitate because it doesn't matter what her back story is, he will always stand up for his friends. Without giving too much away, just know that there is more to Sanji's backstory pre-Zeff, which is a big part of why Sanji is the way he is.
