I imagine it gets hate because it is a "filler-episode that doesn't contribute to the story". I even heard some people say it's a "cringe" episode. I for my part, always liked that episode. And in shows like TLA where it's just ~20 Episodes I don't mind fillers. There usualy are only a few, as opposed to long running shows like One Piece or Dragon Ball. The show already takes long enough, stop padding with more fillers xD But the TLA fillers are nice. Especially since they aren't really fillers in a traditional sense. Since a lot of character development happens in these.
