2024-06-09 23:29:07 +0000 UTC*I have to start copying my comments before hitting send/replyβ¦ And thank goodness I did. It deleted my reply twice.* Anyway, I never saw the fight in the anime since I switched over to the manga after the Hokage were reanimated. I followed the updates from where I caught up to the end of the series. Iβll make watch it from where I left off one way or another (Iβm already rewatching the series with another reaction channel).

2024-06-09 23:26:07 +0000 UTCyeah Naruto is a tough standard to live up to and Sasuke is more realistic and relatable on that level

2024-06-09 22:21:35 +0000 UTCI mean Sasuke IS a dick but he is also right in not wanting Sakura to come along. It was a journey for him to attone for everything wrong he did. Let's be clear though, aside from nearly killing Sakura and Kakashi (and yes, that's quite a biggie) the only people Sasuke went out of his way to kill was Orochimaru & Danzo... Literally everyone else was self defense, so attempted murder aside, is he even that bad? ππ

2024-06-08 13:50:59 +0000 UTCI do agree with Bethany, Sasuke is a dick, but he's a lovable one (at least now he is lol). He's by far my favorite complex character because he's more realistic to us human beings compared to Naruto, and seeing him go on his journey of redemption is similar to what we all have to go through at some point as we grow past our previous toxic traits. I do have one question though, do you guys plan to check out some of the past fights of the anime (that the games were based off of) once the Naruto journey is done?

2024-06-08 08:43:47 +0000 UTCSo Justin already gave a pretty good summary for Sasuke's character so I'll try not to repeat the same things. Sasuke was traumatized as a child due to what his brother did to their whole family; yes we know it was due to a larger problem but still. None of you saw the way Itachi constantly fed into his suffering in the anime all for the sake of making Sasuke hate him by making him relive the night of the massacre on a loop. Once Sasuke found out about the truth that his own village conspired to kill his whole family while making his brother the sole scapegoat he then centered his hatred toward the village, rightfully so considering they always treated the Uchiha like second class citizens and yet they wonder why they wanted to stage a coup in the first place. You can't overlook Sasuke's pain and try to make excuses for Gaara, Pain and Obito when they arguably did worse in their lives. Trust me if you started with the anime first y'all would not have liked kid Gaara as a little psycho who'd kill to verify his own existence. Sasuke starts off as a quiet kid who likes to keep to himself and just try to focus on his ninja journey instead of making friends. Sasuke is socially inept so he doesn't know how to be any other way but blunt which is brutally honest; he doesn't go out of his way to be cruel or hurt others feelings. With Sakura all she wanted to do was focus on Sasuke while he tried to tell her on several occasions she should focus more on her training and their missions so they could be a more solid squad but Sakura was a very carefree girl at the time and cared more about her crush than being a ninja. When Sasuke left the village that motivated her to get more serious about getting stronger so it just goes to show her own feelings for Sasuke were holding her back from her full potential and his absence gave her time to focus and work on herself but that's not Sasuke's fault she got so emotionally attached to him. Sasuke never led her on or gave her false hope in any way; he always made it clear a relationship was the last thing on his mind. This last cutscene, Sasuke wants to go on a journey to reflect on all the wrong he's done and see what he'll do in the future. Sakura asking to accompany him is not the appropriate time as this is a self reflection he needs to do alone; it's not that he doesn't want her around but now he has to take this time for himself. In the anime Sasuke told her "next time" meaning he plans to take her along on his next trip and the forehead tap is the gesture of love Itachi would do on him, so that's basically Sasuke telling her he loves her while giving her his version of a kiss.

2024-06-07 23:07:16 +0000 UTCSasuke was definitely less of a brood before he left the village and become what he was for most of the series, the original Anime spent more time with him and Naruto as kid's before Sasuke's path of darkness and he was shown to be pretty caring and compassionate at times despite his trauma, even almost sacrificing himself to save Naruto during their first mission and being less dismissive of Sakura( though still ignoring her affection),by the end of this Sasuke believed he needed a revolution involving destroying and rebuilding the village and was willing to embody all the darkness of the ninja world, after all that happened to him With Itachi and Orochimaru he thought this was his ultimate purpose after learning that he and Naruto were reincarnations who were destined to fight each other,Sasuke was even aware that Naruto would need to stop him in order to keep the balance between Light and Dark, Naruto broke the curse by opening Sasuke's heart to change the world through cooperation instead of destruction, Sasuke in Boruto is more like he was at the beginning with him being willing to trust others again.

2024-06-07 16:52:35 +0000 UTCA very nice surprise indeed. Glad you went back to check these out, now you see why I was pissed these were cut out. So, when the flashbacks start happening the first is when Naruto and Sasuke fought after Sasuke kills Danzo and nearly killed Sakura in Storm 3. The next one is obviously the end of OG Naruto where Naruto and Sasuke fought in the Final Valley. I'm not sure if you just forgot but Sasuke just tapped Sakura's forehead just like how Itachi always did to Sasuke. It's a love gesture for Sasuke, and for him doing that to Sakura despite everything shoes and tells you something.
