Dragon Ball Super 66 Full Reaction

Full Watch Along reaction to Dragon Ball Super episode 66

But vegeta's arc is to what? become good, become better than the man he used to be, that's the man thats slaughtered children & innocent people not only on earth but multiple planets & the principle becomes a reality when he meets Goku for the first time. It was Goku that taught vegeta the light & its all intentional. Goku is based of the monkey king the journey to the west which is buddhism to it's core. Goku's own name is a play of "Son Wukkong" Goku is meant to be linear spiritually & personality wise becuz he is the "one" way the light. Which is what vegeta ultimately wants & is becoming. So ultimately Vegeta is learning to be like Goku. What i'm saying is 10x verified in this new arc of the dbs manga which every single dragon ball fan is saying is the best arc of dbs ever. Feels like we're watching dbz again but if i elaborate it would be major spoilers

Cell came back after goku instant transmissioned it failed & cell came back perfect form which resulted in Gohan getting the final kill & absolutely vegeta has grown for sure but i've always said that too. I'm no vegeta hater lol & it was becuz of vegeta's help at the end the iconic moment where he blasts cell that helped gohan give the final blow

PowderPuffGirL

I love James Marsters performance as Zamasu for this arc. Especially with that scream after goku scarred his face.

For the record, assuming you guys have already watched it, the inside joke behind my original comment is that I, as well as a lot of the fandom, absolutely DESPISE the next episode for various reasons, and thus I consider this to be the true ending of the arc, but I'll get more into that tomorrow when it's posted.

Shadowpunch13

Gohan did kill Cell. Goku transported him to King Kai's planet to stop his explosion, which killed Goku and King Kai. Cell survived the explosion and used Instant Transmission to return to Earth, and then Gohan finished Cell off while Goku backed him up from the afterlife.

JT

yep, as much as we hated Zamasu, he was a great villain 😈

Bethany and Ken

As a Vegeta stan, Vegeta wasn't too proud with Majin Buu to get help. he asked all of earth for help, right? True it was for Goku, but no way Vegeta of old would've asked help from non Saiyans before that. He would've demanded either he or Goku win it for the pride of all Saiyans. 😜😇

Bethany and Ken

We watched the abridged version, but Gohan didn't kill Cell right? Goku had to come and instant transmission Cell away to King Kai's planet before Cell blew up everybody and that's why King Kai has a halo. Just confirming that since we watched Abridged version 🤗 And yes Goku got help with spirit bomb but Trunks got help with the sword from everyone (which tracks with teamwork being the common denominator 🙂) but just like we give this kill to Trunks that's why we would've given that Buu kill to Goku

Bethany and Ken

Yep. Just like ingredients in food the dominant ingredient is listed first 🙂

Bethany and Ken

Thank God that's it. At first we didn't believe it. But everything you just wrote 100% confirms it. And you wouldn't lie to us. 😇

Bethany and Ken

That's the same guy that did the Majin Buu video as well right? 🤔

Bethany and Ken

Well now we need to see Vegito in Kingdom Hearts 4 wielding a keybalde 😁

Bethany and Ken

We had talked about the fusion dance over the potara fusion because the way we remembered it the potara fusion was permanent. But now it's not for morties 🤗

Great way to describe Zamasu's development through out this arc. Aside from being narcissitic and narrow minded, his motives weren't fully without reason seeing as how people do tend to act wild and foolish, but Zamasu let that overly corrupt him as shown. I personally consider Zamasu the most interesting villain of Dbz because he had a reason and belief in what he was doing while it corrupted him over time. Unlike Frieza who was just a greedy jerk, Cell who just wanted to be perfect and Buu who just wanted to blow everything up for sick fun. All great villains, but Zamasu had so much more writing and development involved with him and I'm sure if Super were made more like Z he'd be a even greater impactful villain. And yeah, Goku black was very cool from start to finish, seeing him learn to use Goku's powers over time until reaching Super saiyan Rose was a sight to see.

Yea this was Trunks Episode <3

PowderPuffGirL

So happy you said this it's so weird when some fans say "goku always gets the win" they're a small minority & granted imo vegeta should've killed frieza in RF movie but other than that Goku has lost so many fights too. These are just the vegeta stans who say that tbh hehe Goku is a genius martial artist but Goku is more of the spiritual hero for everyone. Without Goku everyone in the show is lost. Raditz defeated by piccolo & Goku but Goku dies from that fight. Captain ginyu he had help defeating Ginyu with Gohan, Krillin & Vegeta's help & almost lost. Frieza Goku wins but Frieza comes back & trunks kills him. Cell defeated by Gohan, Majin Buu Goku controls the spirit bomb because of his pure soul but he needed the help once again from others. Unlike Vegeta who would be too proud back then to get help. Goku v Beerus, Goku loses that fight as well & we can go on even in the OG DB. The idea Goku always gets the win once again is a vegeta stan blindness. Goku is the spiritual teacher for them all, in the sense of just his presence & innocence alone. Goku has also always been proud to get help when in an emergency.

PowderPuffGirL

To be fair in Dragonball z and super it's always been teamwork that's been the common denominator in overcoming the villain and only once really Goku has defeated a villain by himself which was frieza because other than that Piccolo killed Raditz with the help of others,Gohan with help of others killed Cell, Trunks killed Frieza when he came back,Buu was killed by Goku but with the help of everyone and then in the last tournament Universe 7 vs Universe 6 the Goat Monaka won it. I guess the reason why people may think Goku always gets the kill is because the characters themselves besides Vegeta will say Goku will be the one to defeat him but that's because those characters have known Goku from OG Dragonball and have seen what he could do by himself also Goku is the protagonist so that might be another reason why people expect Goku to defeat the villain.

Zaid

I agree, Vegito is definitely more Vegeta dominant. However, it could be said that the other fusion, Gogeta, is more Goku dominant.

Cilla W

Zamasu is such a great villain, loved the voice actors performance

Malcolm Shanks

A little trivia for Vegito. The attack he used against Zamasu was a combination of Goku and Vegeta’s strongest moves, the final flash and the kamehameha, dubbed the Final Kamehameha. The the sword he made was used previously against Buu, used to stab his mouth, called the Ki blade, not to confuse it with the Keyblade.

Ash

Im glad that Trunks was able to take that last kill. Bro deserved it, man.

Bryan Escatel

And that's it. That's the arc. There's definitely not one more episode after this. Nope, that was it, that's the Future Trunks arc. What a fitting conclusion this episode provides as a finale. Just to be clear there is most definitely NOT one more episode to this arc, this is it.

Shadowpunch13

Hey Guys, this arc already at the end phase, its only 1 episode left for this arc,i hope you guys check out CJ Dachamp-GOKU BLACK: The God Who Hated The Mortals on youtube. It's Basically Goku Black arc lore and it's soooo hilarious.SInce we dont get Dragon ball super abridged, hope you guys can react to this one,its just 30 min video like that.

chuckie 12

Yeah. Honestly the 1 hour retcon is one i'm fine with. Since it really doesn't break any continuity. .

Jaylon Carrington

I forgot just how epic this episode was. It was gripping from start to finish and you guys couldn't take your eyes off it lol.

JayMoe

Still has his feet spoke to soon :p Also glad trunks got the final kill

Knight Spearhead

Ah good ol Vegito, back again with the shit talk. A bit of a shame he didn’t get much screen time but damn these fusion scenes always steal the show. We also have another retcon. It was never explained in DBZ why Vegito defused when going inside Buu. As another comment said, people theorized that it was because of Buu’s magical properties. But now we know. Add that to the list of things Universe 7 Kai’s don’t know.

Ash

I, too, am glad Trunks got the final kill 🙂🤞

JT

I'm honestly surprised you both completely forgot about the Potara fusion, even though Zamasu fused with said fusion. One thing that you possibly missed or they haven't mentioned. If you fused while in Blue, you won't be able to power down. That's why it's better to fuse while in base form, to power down to not waste energy. Oh, Final Kamehameha, builds up like the Final Flash, only to be shot as a Kamehameha. Personal favorite is the Big Bang Kamehameha, builds up and shot as a double-handed Big Bang (Vegeta's move). Nice catch on Vegito saying both Vegeta and Kakarot, that completely flew by me when I first witnessed this. Also explains why he's Vegito and not Vegerot, or Vegiku. Combination of Vegeta and Kakarotto (Japanese). By the by, the other fusion you were thinking of is Gogeta. He's not canon as he debuted in Fusion Reborn.

Jason Rogue

Shout outs to the VA performance of both James Marsters and Shinichiro Miki this episode. They both did an excellent job in making Zamasu sound completely unhinged and desperate, which is so cathartic after everything up to this point.

JT

Emotions were high among fans when this episode premiered. Vegito's return after 21 years had everyone hyped. The introduction of the Potaras' one hour time limit had mixed reactions though, as it nerfed Vegito pretty heavily. Before this, the speculated reason that Goku and Vegeta had defused inside Buu was because of Buu's magical properties clashing with the magic of the earrings.
