We'll get there eventually, and some of the fillers weren't that bad (at least for me)

Man fantastic arc and had for sure solidified Goku Black as my favorite villain in the franchise! It'll be a little min, but the next arc is gonna be a good one, and y'all are gonna love all the surprises that come in and the characters that will be introduced! The next arc is what many consider the best of Super, so looking forward to how y'all will react to that!

Zamasu was probably the hardest villain for heroes to kill no matter what in Dragonball because of the wish he made to become invincible especially since super shenron granted that wish and only Zeno is strong as super shenron's creator (the creator's name is zalama) so Zeno was the only one able to overcome Zamasu's invincibility and erase him

Trunks still gets kind of a poop ending lol it's not 100% guaranteed that they can find this timeline with the two of them & one could argue that Zamasu is the first villian in Dragon Ball history to actually get what he wanted. "Kind of" He indirectly erased an entire timeline lol also they can't go back to where goku & vegeta were alive becuz that would perminanent damage to the multiverse. Like when Peter Parker could never save uncle ben in any timeline becuz it would result in spider mans not existing at all. Also i personally never liked the two zeno's concept. in my humble opinion this is where dbz fleshed out things better

Well I think it’s time. A while back I told you guys how Mai may have caused some of this and with the arc over now is a good time. Not a spoiler since it’s never brought up in the anime so no worries there. In the manga it was revealed that Androids 17-18 were attacking the Z fighters (Vegeta, Piccolo, Tien, Yamcha, Chiaotzu, and little Gohan). Gohan managed to escape the androids and was told to collect the dragon balls, presumably to get some sort of aid. But he had to get them quickly since, if Piccolo dies, they won’t work anymore. Lucky for Gohan, Bulma and baby Trunks gave him a lift to the dragon balls. Unfortunately for them, adult Mai, Pilaf and Shu already gathered the dragon balls and just as Gohan was approaching them Pilaf made the wish to make them young, despite Shu stating that he heard of the androids attacking cities and that maybe the wish could be used for something better. The wish worked and then the dragon balls split again. Piccolo then died and the rest is history. People have said that if they didn’t make that wish then maybe the Z- fighters would have lived, no Time Machine would have been needed, and so Zamasu would have never discovered them. Of course we will never know what happened but they it’s a fun theory.

One of the best arcs in all of Dragon Ball imo. Also they mentioned before the fragility of time. Beerus's action of killing Zamasu would have effected all of reality in every timeline had Black not wearing the time ring. Gods changing and altering time has to be done with caution hence why Beerus was so hesitant to get involved. This explains why Trunks didn't just ask to be taken back to before Vegeta and Goku died. Even if he did it would be pretty out of character and creates the issue of Trunks being significantly older than anyone else around him. It makes no sense for him to even want to go back as he had already come to accept the truth of what happened in his world to the Z fighters and Goku/Vegeta. Mai even says that she wants the people they fought with to be around.

That was awesome guys! Now that this arc is over, you should watch Goku Black vs Reverse Flash DEATH BATTLE

I dislike the ending of this arc, there were so many opportunities for Trunks to save his future but they couldnt let him have a win and had to get Zeno to interfere. All i will say is that im looking forward to your reactions to the next arc of the series, the best arc imo.

My guess is that Whis can only create a new timeline because Beerus created a new timeline (this super timeline) by killing Zamasu, so Whis now has an excuse to create a new one without enraging Zeno. Besides, now Zeno has a friend and there is enough reason to recreate the world that was corrupted and destroyed by Zamasu. Just like with Gowasu's death, seems like gods need the bad consequences to happen before restoring it.

Preaching to the choir maybe but here we go. This ending is so needlessly depressing, flat-out nihilistic, and the resolution of having Trunks and Mai living alongside exact versions of themselves is so incredibly uncomfortable. I hate to be negative but it's such a poorly written ending, especially with how incredible a climax the previous episode was. But enough of that, since this is the end of the arc, let's be positive and I'll give a general overview on what worked for me since this was honestly the first arc of Super that really gripped me. Firstly, I, and a lot of other people, when Goku Black was first introduced, thought it was going to be a MAJOR shark-jump, but goddamn through that first episode especially they managed to make him such a gripping antagonist and nowhere near as cliché as one would expect "Evil Goku" would be. That first episode especially I think is one of the best from the arc, from that amazing art and direction, to the dreary and apocalyptic atmosphere, alongside some of the best music Super had to offer at that point made for a really memorable beginning. As for other things I think they did well, the arc-long mystery of Black's identity I think was handled pretty well, their tying into things from older DB, like Cell's time machine, bringing the Mafuba back, as well as bringing the Kai's back into a center role. And though I think Zamasu's descent into madness could've been better portrayed, I agree that his character is a new and fresh archetype for the series, and with a good moral complexity that other villains tend to lack. As for the action, as previously stated, this was definitely the start of Super starting to get some major love in that department. Overall, as an arc, some pretty low lows, and high highs imo. Enough yappin' though, onto the next. The next few episodes are self-contained stories but they're cute and are a good holdover until the next arc. Excited to see y'all get there!

I'm still miffed with this ending. I mean I saw calling in Zeno like a mile away since they mentioned Zamasu's immortality, but not like this. They couldn't give Trunks the win here. About Trunks failing Gohan, he sort of did. Trunks has to live with Zamasu killing off everyone in the end thus having failed Gohan. Still makes me tear up seeing Gohan saying goodbye to Trunks, looks like Gohan was either training or trying to catch Trunks before he left.

While the next 9 episodes are more slice of life stories, I consider a good number of them to be among some of Super's most entertaining. Curious to see what you two think.

From what I've seen, the ending for this arc was and continues to be divisive. It's incredibly dark and bittersweet, which leads some to find it very impactful. It allows Zamasu to end his story with a bang as he kind of "won" the war against Trunks, and the Farwell from Gohan made some fans tear up. However, having Zeno come in to finish Zamasu off made the ending feel anticlimactic for others. Having the arc largely themed around "mortals vs gods" made some fans feel like it should have just ended with Trunks killing Zamasu, but were left with him failing his mission. It doesn't help that the reveal of the Zeno button was also dropped not so subtly in the middle of the story, making this outcome pretty predictable for some.
