2024-06-27 22:00:24 +0000 UTCOolong wishing for panties is the climax, more or less, to the very first arc in OG DB, so if anything I'd argue he was done the dirtiest, considering that wish literally saved the world. Next two episodes are hysterical so looking forward to them, though the first one might require a bit of an explanation when we get to it.

2024-06-27 21:20:35 +0000 UTCI'm not telling them to skip openings, I'm explaining openings in general. They give glimpses of spoilers but obviously they wouldn't know. Like when they saw DBZ Kai, the opening shows SS3 Goku, Dabura and Majin Vegeta, but of course they didn't know. Until they kept seeing the opening and saw Majin Vegeta when he was revealed later on. I personally want them to watch openings, which is why I told them for example they could check out Naruto openings as that's an anime they might check out.

All it does is show characters whose names aren't revealed nor their backstory or anything else important. It doesn't spoil anything, telling someone to skip the intro of a show is pointless as it was obviously intended to be watched with the openings.

2024-06-27 20:39:04 +0000 UTCWhile it would be nice to have filler be canon, this isn't the case here. Nothing longstanding happened in this episode. So Bulma and Beerus's relationship isn't tarnished. I do like these more casual episodes in-between main arcs. I forget that you're still new to anime culture. So openings change based on what arc you're on. Same with closings. You want an example, try OG Naruto openings 1-9, I think. Many say skip openings as they do contain spoilers. Which is true, they show glimpses of new characters and possibly what the arc is centered on.

2024-06-27 20:10:25 +0000 UTC23:13 Since there's isn't really a payoff, I'll just go ahead and say there isn't any fallout from this interaction. Filler is Toei's writing, so it has little bearing on main arcs (which were written based on Toriyama's manuscripts).

2024-06-27 19:00:52 +0000 UTCWhile this episode is the weakest part of the "filler" train that's coming up imo, I still enjoy seeing the DB cast in these more "regular" moments. Helps the world feel more lived in. Also, Bulma's a pimp boss, apparently.
