Meh kinda let's not forget there was a time when hollywood would being extremely racist towards japan. Even making fun of japanese names. Also all the character you named. I think MOST dragon ball fans would agree, no one has really changed at all. Besides Dragon Ball supers voice actor for bulma. Which DBS bulma's voice is kinda of annoying to me lol

However it just seems like a pointless waste of time. 99% of the DB fans watch the show for the forms and the action. Neither of those aspects of the show are heavily affected by seeing the title card. Most people already know that DB has battle transformations or even have seen them. All I'm saying is that doing too much stupid shit on the side just drags out the series making it less enjoyable.

It's their right to watch as they want to just as it's my right to say I disagree with some of their decisions. I fail to understand how opinions are ok unless you disagree with them, because no one complained when people suggested they skip intros or do other stupid shit like skip the title cards.

Animators needed time for the manga to produce more material so they decided to include her as part of a filler episode. Her character is much like Bugs Bunny or Popeye. A characters that does whatever they want with no consequences or thoughts to the laws of physics. Is Goku keep the fight up he would have lost since there is no convenient way to “kill” a gag character. Vegeta even call it out during his fight, how he had to think differently in order to even do any lasting damage against her. A silly episode but I think I’m of the better ones.

Presumably Daima will be out by the time they finish Super, and they’ll have no shortage of DB content to watch assuming they get to OG DB at some point. Plus these episodes are good character building for certain characters who’ve been kinda shelved by Super at this point and I think they’ll be into that.

I know it's an ohmage to his series and it's fine but with only two DBS uploads a week its rather pathetic knowing that nothing really interesting will happen for months. While some filler is ok like the upcoming "sports" episode having this much before an already huge arc is downright stupid. Also they really don't skip filler, They watched the superhuman water arc (which was shit) and all the other filler. They did have the decency to skip bio Broly thank god.

Us Westerners just couldn't understand what was happening. You'll see once once you dive into DragonBall that came out in '86. Different Bulma, Roshi, Krillin, Yamcha, and others.

Eps like this provide nothing to the story and draw out super even more than it already is. This next upcoming arc is the longest in Super and already has some plot important filler. I feel like wasting time on the dozen episodes of filler that come before is pointless. Especially since the arc itself is already 54 episodes so.

Ok uhh idk much about it because I don't generally like subbed anime (and it doesn't have a dub...for I think generally obvious reasons, doubt it would do well over here) but this was a crossover with Toriyama's early gag manga/anime Dr. Slump. There's an episode in DB that is ...well just about as crazy as this was, which is how Goku knew Arale. As for what the hell is actually going on in anything here? Your guess is as good as mine, it's not supposed to make sense.

Dr. Slump was the series that made Toriyama quite popular in Japan, before Dragon Ball gave him worldwide fame. In OG Dragon Ball there's a bit in an arc where the first crossover happens which is what the "30 years" line was referencing. Remember that Toriyama was a gag manga writer first before he was writing space adventures, hence the tone of this episode, and early DB in general.

Dr. Gero kidnapped her and 17 when they were orphans and modified them. Arale on the other hand is a true android. Completely mechanical. Androids are robots designed to look like people, and cyborgs are mechanically altered humans. 25:48 Dr. Slump really plays into the extra dumb side of Toriyama's humor, and one of the longest running jokes in the manga is that Arale is way too comfortable with poop. Being a young android, she has little understanding of social norms, so she sees no issue with poking poop she finds outside and will even throw it at others with a stick just to mess with them.

He constantly rejected Toriyama's ideas, including the original design for Mashirito. He told Toriyama to fix the design by thinking of the person he hates the most, which Toriyama responded by giving the evil doctor Torishima's likeness, and using an anagram of his name just to mock his editor further.

This was the first time in 30 years that Masako Nozawa and Mami Koyama (Goku and Arale's JP VAs) got to record together. The last time being OG Dragon Ball's crossover with Dr Slump.
