THE definition of cautious decided to throw it to the wind just to go home to his father before being betrayed by azula showed me he still wants family love. But he's so blinded by it to try and justify the things the fire nation does or how he still needs the avatar. I really can't wait to see how they play this out for book2

He clearly still wants to believe this about himself and his father, but the evidence to the contrary results in anger.
