There wasn't really any job for him to finish, the stadium was already damaged. He was just trying to keep it on track so the message could play, kind of a constant issue lol

No Consequence

Poor Tai... He lost so many people in his life. Raven, Summer, (Qrow in some way) and now he is scared of losing his both children all that he has left...

Tatsumi Ga Kill

its not just that Maria was The grimm reaper that let her fight on par with Neo, Maria is the first person we have really seen land multiple solid hits on her. Neo's entire fighting style is about countering and dodging. but Maria's semblance is Preflexes, predicting and knowing. Maria hard counters Neo XD

Encyclo Chemeleon

Absolutely! πŸ™‚πŸ˜

Bethany and Ken

You guys think rubyβ€˜s message had bloopers?

Lara

Volume 3 properly, though there was footage of her in V4 when Yang was watching TV. (which was kinda re used stuff from the very end of V3)

Lucifer_Crowe

Wait until you find out Salem's last name is "Badwitch." (haha, jk! :D )

Jennywocky

But show-wise she's been on the sidelines, right? When was the last time we saw her? πŸ€”

Bethany and Ken

oh nice. Thanks for letting us know πŸ˜€

Bethany and Ken

How far he has fallen 😨

Bethany and Ken

Every time I hear Glynda's name I always think its so obvious that's her name. How could I forget Goodwitch?! But, telling you right now, it will be forgotten πŸ˜‚πŸ€—

Bethany and Ken

Still no word on if they have started season 10 yet? Know it finally found a home and studio so hopefully news comes soon on when production is going to start πŸ˜€

Bethany and Ken

Glynda hasn’t just been on the sidelines since season 3, she’s been the leader of the offensive force fighting the Grimm in Vale, trying to retake Vale

GrimmxLaw22

Huh? They're all in this episode at some point.

Terrafan

RWB show up during the broadcast, and Yang shows up at the end.

Harriet is honestly one of my favourites for similar reasons I love Cinder. Angry little gremlins. Harriet even wears basically a onesie. Eepy lil gal

Lucifer_Crowe

Such a great episode.

GoodGuyKiro

Back before volume 7, you guys were loving Ironwood, even consistently ranking him at the top of your favorite character lists. It was quite amusing to see, knowing how deranged he eventually gets

Serpent King

And when she says "dad" ugh 😒.

Joaquin Benally

Cinder has that "Oh I know I can take you because I have the maiden power and I'm so powerful" attitude and it just make me laugh. She should of just listen to Salem.

Joaquin Benally

I love Maria in this episode. Not only do we see that she is good for Pietro (nudging him out of his over-protectiveness and comforting him), but she provides perspective to any conversation she is in and is one of the few -- despite her age -- who seems capable of countering Neo in a fight. That moment between Emerald and Penny is wonderful, it really exposes some of their core selves. Despite her practiced bravado, Emerald admits she's vulnerable and operating out of her league, and despite being Emerald's opponent, Penny responds with empathy rather than just crushing her [yes, Bethany! :) ] -- compare this to Ironwood. Penny also recognizes the communications satellite is more important than preventing Cinder's escape. (Ah Cinder... more coming on her.) Despite her mechanical nature, Penny seems adept at putting herself in other people's shoes. And she is so tender with Pietro when she insists that she can keep the satellite up long enough to transmit. (The background music is so great here too.) I love it so much when she soaks up the view of the aurora borealis and moon, a reminder of how beautiful the world is and what she is fighting for; it's those kinds of wordless introspective moments that makes RWBY special. Great Ruby speech!!!! Bill (the guy w/ mug from e3), lol! Glynda Goodwitch! And poor Tai... :( He loves and misses his girls so much. Penny's cries for her dad as she falls -- just heartbreaking. Harriet's zealous aggression is meant to ratchet up conflict, I know; but she's one character who made some of this season so frustrating to watch. Also, Ironwood's deal with the devil is a game-changer and will have many unintended consequences -- he has no idea. Just think, he once upon a time chose Pietro's project over Watts' proposal and supported Penny, but now she is just a roadblock he is trying to remove to implement his strategy. This battle will be defined by who fights for the people they love, versus who destroys what they can to defeat the people they hate.

Jennywocky

Omg πŸ˜… I can't with Harriet. She doesn't want to hear it from anyone because she knows they're right and she just lashes out. Especially that one episode where she cuts off Ruby and insults her uncle.

Joaquin Benally

Ah yep, the first episode of RWBY that made me cry. That "I love you" absolutely kills me.

Serpent King

it's especially sad/cute cause all through V2-3 she used to just say "Father" which sounded a bit cold and clinical (like Weiss with Jacques) So, her changing to "dad" in V7 onwards is lovely. It always amuses me that Cinder sees Penny confidently aiming at the real her and doesn't try to dodge. "Maybe I was an illusion all along and didn't know." (if I was Cinder the real me would be invisible and attacking from below) Iirc they mentioned the stuff with Cinder in 8-1 with the small flashback

Lucifer_Crowe

It gotten good, it gets better. Cannot wait for you guys to finish S8 and S9, and then hopefully "soonish" we'll be able to see volume 10 together.

Hononotenshi

It's something I like about Penny, she sees what Emerald feels for Cinder, maybe her first time considering that her enemies have the capability for love? And I guess hopes that even someone like Cinder could have her soul saved by that? Especially when you consider Emerald was Penny's killer back in V3. Pyrrha was just the murder weapon. Penny and Cinder make such good foils too (almost better than Ruby does for Cinder) Penny has power she doesn't want and feels the weight of responsibility Cinder just wants MORE. I always like to joke that Harriet thinks turning off that one TV stopped the whole broadcast. Ironwood with his secret technique phone/scroll attack always makes me laugh too. Watts: haha, I have studied your secrets already.

Lucifer_Crowe

When Penny said "Dad?" I was just in tears, poor thing 😭. She looked so scared and confused like little girl just calling out for her dad. I love the fight with Maria and Neo. Neo is no match with Maria's semblance, I know Maria explain her semblance but I just thought of it like Spidey Senses. That was smart of Penny using her eyes to detect Cinder's heat signature. Knowing she was aware of Emerald's semblance and didn't get fooled. Also are you aware of Cinder's fairytale inspiration? Because that's going to be important.

Joaquin Benally

Nothing much to say here except great reaction, and hold onto your hats - it's only going to get wilder from here!

Megan Saunders

Maria hasn’t had much to do the last couple volumes so it’s good to see her in action. The next episode isn’t one of my favorites , but I honestly think the entire second half of Volume 8 and all of Volume 9 is the peak of the series. I don’t think there’s even one miss. Lots to look forward to!
