Thanks for clarification. Wasn't sure if Zhongli stopped being a god because he had to give up his gnosis and that was what made him a god. We were pretty sure he still was one, so got a little confused there haha. This helps. Thanks again!

2024-08-09 18:21:15 +0000 UTCJust to clarify, zhongli is still a god. Being a god is a race, it’s not something that you cease to be once you step down. So yeah he is still a god, he just doesn’t rule over liyue anymore. He’s not their god, but he still is one. And as for erosion. It’s almost like a disease or a mental disorder in genshin. It’s something that seems to affect long lived beings. Dragons like azdaha, gods like zhongli. And it affects all of them kinda differently. With azdaha it made him forget the promises he made and caused him to lash out. With zhongli, he feels like it’s a punishment placed upon him to have lost so many friends and he felt the erosion setting in. It was one of the contributing factors of him stepping down. So yeah, expect erosion to become a thing that reoccurs.

2024-08-06 22:45:13 +0000 UTCThat particular hand drawn cutscene is one of my favorites just for the music alone. So bombastic. And Azhdaha’s backstory was just so interesting to me. And Zhongli’s 2nd quest as a whole I did enjoy, if not just because I like hearing Keith Silverstein’s voice. (The voice of Zhongli) And yeah, they only decided to make it connected to the main story right at the very end. And they do this a LOT. Thankfully this only appears to happen with Archons or at least those connected to Archons. But the main reason they made this story the main focus of the version patch, was to add a weekly boss fight to the open world. In Genshin, there are certain boss fights you can only do once a week. And they’re always connected to the main story. And the weekly rewards are just materials you can use to make certain characters stronger. By the way, I made the decision to place Xingqiu right after the last event on the playlist since you skipped him and I couldn’t find a good placement for him on the Version 2 playlist. Hope that’s okay with you.
