Thug: Not even you can bend metal. Toph: Yeah, well, I've never been trapped in a metal box with nothing else to do before.

2024-10-02 01:00:36 +0000 UTCA brutal detail is when lighting hits, it has to have an exit point. So at 23:01 you see the lighting went in his back, but out of Aang’s foot. NICKELODEON SHOW.

2024-09-18 18:07:02 +0000 UTCI think it's such a brave writing choice to have him fall down there to be honest. Because it shows how it easy it can be to fall back into hold habits. It's always frustrating to watch obviously. But I wouldn't change it for the world.

2024-09-18 15:58:34 +0000 UTCOh yeah she's just got his pathetic need to prove himself mostly. I think she still has some of Azula's cunning. But it doesn't come as naturally. (It's like the comparison Azula made to Long Feng. Cinder and Long Feng learned to be that way to survive etc, Azula was born feeling superior to everyone "The Divine Right to Rule" etc so her confidence is a lot more sturdy. Emerald would probably get along well with Ty Lee and Mai, at least.

2024-09-18 15:57:18 +0000 UTCYeah early season Cinder had a little Azula in her. Now, not sure I would even give her Zuko. Zuko has shown deep down he is a good person. We understand why Cinder is hurting and lashing out, but she hasn't really shown that she wants to be different or that she is struggling with the path she has chosen.

2024-09-18 15:52:49 +0000 UTCOur top 5 balanced each other out. Got all the characters in there except for Zuko really. And if he hadn't gone to the dark side and chosen poorly he probably would've made Bethany's top five this season for his growth. It was heartbreaking to see him come so far and then fall down right at the end

2024-09-18 15:51:45 +0000 UTCThis show definitely still holds up. Can't believe it was on Nickelodeon at the time and that we missed it all these years

2024-09-18 15:49:43 +0000 UTCI'm grateful to be able to watch your Avatar reactions early, I look forward to your reactions to season 3. This show will always be near and dear to me as I grew up watching it as it aired on TV. Sokka will always be my fav and Zuko will always be my 2nd fav. This show's writing (in my opinion) will stand the test of time, my 2nd viewing of it convinced me of that. My 2nd viewing of it was when I was in my teens and all it did was make me love it more. Of all the seasons, my personal fav is S3. You'll see why when you get there.

2024-09-17 11:51:46 +0000 UTCI totally forgot that this was going to be the two part season finale in one! Now I'm even more hyped! Ken turned into a little kid the moment Toph started finding the earth in the metal. That big ass smile was perfect. That's what I get for pausing; Bethany, quick to follow up with a smile of her own. The hype you two felt, so happy you got to have that. One of the reasons I've been loving and excited for this reaction is seeing you guys get to enjoy the ride, and that's definitely one of the highlights. The genuine concern for Zuko when he decided to face Azula. We've come a long way. Fun little detail: the house the Gaang is staying in is under repair from when Toph said, "Let's break some rules!" "You were never even a player" is still, to this day, one of the coldest lines ever put on screen, imo. "Does she end up with Zuko?" Oh? Is Ken tiptioeing into the Zutara camp a little bit? The shakiness and heartbreak in Bethany's "No" when you realized Zuko's decision actually kind of hurt. The way you both, not only gasped, but threw your heads back in shock (ha, shock) from Azula's attack was perfect. "Taking the Cobra Kai approach." More like the Agni Kai approach, amirite?! Was worried for a moment there that neither of you were going to put Toph in your Top 5. Glad that was fixed. Also, glad to see Azula gets the....love? Respect? Recognition her character deserves. Absolutely fantastic villain. Rest in Peace to Mako, as this was the last we hear of his voice in the show. Shoutout to Greg Baldwin for taking over the role and he does a good job going forward. Onward to what is widely considered, yet is still only arguably, the best season of the show. Season 3 is so good, and I'm so hyped to witness your reactions.

2024-09-16 22:46:28 +0000 UTCI think it's super interesting to be where you are in both Avatar and RWBY around the same time because Cinder IMO is like some essences of the Fire Siblings distilled (though not 1 to 1) into one person, mostly pathetic like Zuko but a little bit cunning like Azula. (She thinks she's 100% like someone like Azula though I imagine.) Just with a simping underling instead of a caring mentor figure. It was also interesting to see you draw on the Chakra lessons for one of those recent reactions. This finale is always so difficult to watch with Zuko. I do wonder what he would have chosen if Aang and Iroh had been slower and Katara had time to use the water. Would he think twice about then betraying her? Toph knowing how incredible she is is somewhat inspiring tbh, her self-confidence is just so beautiful.
