One thing that's overlooked and also indirectly humanizes Azula is that as cruel and cold as she is, she does actual care/love Zuko. You see moments of these from time to time one example being her warning Zuko about visiting Iroh "Be careful dumb-dumb". She gains no strategic advantage/benefit for doing so yet she still does. The issue being her upbringing through Ozai is what makes it impossible for her to show those feelings and as such make it impossible for the two to coexist.

2024-10-08 03:35:19 +0000 UTCKen is correct, this is the best episode. Tons of fun and tons of insight. Whenever I think back to this show, this is my first stop every time. Dante Basco's delivery on Zuko's emotional turmoil is so raw, it's hard not to feel it with him.

Huge shoutouts to Grey DeLisle and Dante Basco as Azula and Zuko, being the comedic and emotional points of the episode. They did so well in their respective roles in this episode. it was perfect.
