2024-10-21 16:42:30 +0000 UTCI think it depends on how much you guys are entertained by the lore. You could go straight to Season of Defiance, which is the B-storyline of Lightfall. Then you can watch a summary of both by Byf. Which will include brief summaries of the Lightfall post campaign. From an entertainment perspective, you can just watch the main story content and just go with the flow for things that you might not understand. At the very least, you should watch Osiris explain Light & Darkness and the different powers of the Guardians after your part 1 or 2 of Lightfall; they are missing scenes from Evaze's video. 1. The Destiny community was not happy about the story campaign of Lightfall. Destin's Lightfall video (with a few bad edits) including, the story campaign, post campaign mission, exotic mission, [redacted] audio logs, and Raid cutscenes. Honestly, out of all the Lightfall cutscenes videos I've seen, this is slightly better than the rest. 2024-10-18 00:18:55 +0000 UTCSo in the top left of the final mission, there are lines of code that Rasputin is putting out and as you advance through the mission, they start to say that Traveler is preparing to leave, which only added to the already immense tension of the mission and the situation overall. Also, in regards to Elsie living her life in a circle, it was revealed in a lore book in Beyond Light that she had been trapped in a time loop where the events may be different, but they all ended the same, death and betrayal and darkness wins. The last time loop she was in was where Eramis wasn't stopped on Europa and the city is attacked and utlimately falls. Among the attackers were guardians that were corrupted by the darkness. On top of that with no one to guide her, Eris falls to corruption and grew so powerful that she actually had Savathun under her control. It all ended with a battle on the moon where Mara and remenants of fallen houses and the Cabal found the Leviathan ship and captured the traveler after it fled. However, Ana falls to the darkness and kills Mara which forces Elsie to kill her. After the battle, Elsie wakes up again as she is still trapped in this time loop, but this time seems different as we the player are here to makes things different. If you want to learn more I recommend watching Byf's video on lore book as it's pretty good and dark as it should be or you can read it on the ishtar collective site which holds all of Destiny's lore https://www.ishtar-collective.net/categories/book-the-dark-future

2024-10-17 23:23:25 +0000 UTCThat cutscene of the traveler standing its ground in orbit, gave me and plenty others chills. That exact scene is a reference to some of the earliest Destiny reveals framing and all.
