All Four Parts of Sozin's comet. It's been an amazing journey 🀩πŸ₯²

Avatar the Last Airbender Finale Reaction

The flow of their relationship just didn’t feel as natural to me. Like there were moments here and there, but I felt like the ending kinda forced them to be together, especially after Katara feeling confused the last episode

J Sal

Idk man Aang and katara had a thing since the beginning but they were just kids but he always had a crush on her and she would get jealous. Not rushed tbh

C. J. Ramirez

That night was a full moon, they show a quick shot of it.

Ietseatapples

What about the sourthern raiders mission she blood blended

C. J. Ramirez

Btw reminder, Katara can only bloodbend during the full moon. She couldn't have done that to Azula even if she wanted to,

If you want to look at the lost season 4 of avatar the last air bender comicstorian has it on his channel. All 19 videos. Each 19-20 mins a piece. https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL6FhCd_HO_ACxgtgGlFP8mgxj2EbAaPW6&si=6DC3Dhg3lHbXYVu3

ATLA is one of the best shows to date. Theres was never a animated version BUT there is a comic of the group looking for Zukos mother and its a fairly complex story, as even Azula makes an appearance. Idk if theres any youtube videos on it anymore, but it only came out like 10years ago, whereas ATLA came out nearly 20yrs ago (i feel old now)

We enjoyed it so much. Something we never would've seen had it not been for this community and the amazing recommendations we get 🀩

Bethany and Ken

We were too πŸ€—

Bethany and Ken

Our pleasure! Glad you enjoyed this and the Naruto journey we went on. And happy to see Momo/Appa in another top 5 😁

Bethany and Ken

I mean, we liked the hint of Zuko-Katara that we saw but by the end, neither of us was rooting for them to get together either. Ending by no means ruined an amazing show. It's just kind of like, "eh, not the choice I would've made, but oh well." πŸ€—

Bethany and Ken

Thanks for watching it again with us. This is a show that appeals to all ages 🀩

Bethany and Ken

yeah as we get more into shows, it makes Death Battles tougher to watch because of spoilers. 😝

Bethany and Ken

TLOK starts today. So far we are digging it. That's a solid top 5 list. And yeah, Bethany doesn't often come around to people that she feels have wronged those she cares about (Zuko with Iroh), but his journey was handled so well and we got his perspective on things that it's really hard not only to forgive him, but actively root for him. They did a good job of showing that there was good within Zuko, he just needed to go down the toughest path to fully embrace it. πŸ€—

Bethany and Ken

Today. 12pm it begins 😁

Bethany and Ken

haha, yes Bucky has strong opinions πŸ˜‚ Really need to get on reading those comics I guess 😯 We've already started TLOK, reaction comes out today actually, but still think we can try and get to the comics. Maybe over Christmas when things kind of slow down πŸ˜…

Bethany and Ken

Truly was our pleasure 🀩

Bethany and Ken

Thanks for watching it again with us πŸ€—

Bethany and Ken

Great point with Toph and Sokka 😊

Bethany and Ken

Our pleasure! Glad you enjoyed the reactions. We had heard this show was amazing, but even knowing that we weren't sure what to expect. But needless to say it far exceeded our expectations 🀩

Bethany and Ken

Yep 😒πŸ₯²

Bethany and Ken

Dang, wish we would've gotten that movie. Seems like more Avatar movies and spinoffs are coming so maybe someday πŸ˜…

Bethany and Ken

Thank you guys for a great reaction to this highly beloved series.

Oh man what a journey, I'm so glad we were able to join you for it

One of the best endings in animated history, 10/10!! I’m not gonna lie Aang and Katara’s relationship did feel forced at the end, but it wasn’t the worst. Other than that, I loved everything about this ending! One thing I liked about this show is how I like how the relationship between Aang and Zuko throughout the series somewhat mirrors Naruto and Sasuke’s relationship (even though Sasuke was worse than Zuko) during the Storm series, and how Naruto and Sasuke became good friends as adults, similar to how Aang and Zuko are now good friends preparing to rebuild the world. That to me is one of the most wholesome pieces of writing that a show can do. And I agree, you don’t always need violence, sex strong language to make a good show, and this show proves exactly just that. There was rarely any pandering found in this show, which is why it has such good praise. I’d say my top 5 are Iroh, Zuko, Toph, Aang and Momo/Appa. Iroh is such a great inspiration to me and has been for several years, which is why I have him at the top. Man what a journey it has been with this series! I’d say after the Storm series, this is my 2nd favorite reaction journey I’ve had with you guys, enjoyed every moment from start to finish. Thank you guys for providing such good content and wholesome reactions and I’m definitely looking forward to the next one!!

Congratulations! We are done with Avatar! Yes, the ending was controversial for many people. It ended with Aang and Katara kissing. There were those who still advocated for Katara and Zuko to be together and those who just did not like the idea of a romance between Aang and Katara. Trust me, I've heard all the criticisms over the years. For me, I was neither rooting for nor against it. It just was, even though it was a bit awkward. Looks like we are ready for Korra. The first episode will throw you off by all the changes we will be introduced to. Don't worry; we will all be here as you navigate this new Avatar story. Especially during the "frustrating" parts because this show is not perfect and is quite divisive amongst fans. Do your best and try not to compare it to The Last Airbender. I believe that is what made people look down on the series. No, it is not The Last Airbender, but it's not a terrible show. I would consider Korra the second-best animated series that came out during its time after The Last Airbender because, again, they were doing things in this show that were not happening in Western animation. Plus, there are some things that Korra does better than the previous, such as animation and fight choreography. I don't want to give too much away, but I'm sure you will hear many facts and tidbits along the way.

This has been such an incredible journey to watch again alongside you. Seeing you watch through this for the first time brought back all the emotions that went along with my first time watching years ago. ATLA and the lessons and morals within it played such an important role through my childhood and has helped to shape the person I am today, and i couldnt be happier to watch it all over again!

Kyra Arkenseed

And so that’s another story wrapped up. Glad you guys checked it out. That’s scene with Zuko and Iroh really hits you in the feels. I assume you guys aren’t going to see the Aang vs Eric Death Battle since you guys seem to want see his show. Maybe Zuko vs Todoroki is better? Can’t wait!

Ash

Fun fact: the lion turtles are the oldest creatures in the avatar universe and were sort of a noahs arc for the first communities of human civilization. Loved kens reaction to beth saying obviously zuko lol, she hated him for like more then half the show with a tiny bit of liking with the blue spirit and stuff on occasion but i about had the same reaction Lol, Im glad she came around to him though in the end easily one of my favorites. My list goes Toph, Zuko, Iroh, Sokka and appa/momo Toph her strength of power while also being blind and still laugh in the face of danger really speaks volumes. Zuko his journey of redemption to becoming the fire lord is so fulfilling it makes it so much better knowing what he does next with his power in legend of korra is what all leaders should aspire to be. Uncle Iroh is the person most people dream of becoming when they are older the wise old man people have respect for. Sokka the man who can make any moment a light hearted moment and still be a bad ass when he needs to be Appa and momo even though they never speak are really so influential throughout this story. Even aangs comment towards momo at the end proves where he says he likes to pretend momo can speak and has him influencing his decisions. Just a fyi Legend of Korra continues in the same world as TLA around 70 years in the future but from what i remember azulas fate is never directly mentioned legend of korra but its suspected that she was put in a insane asylum for obvious reasons lol, I believe his mothers fate is however tied to a character that makes a appearance in the show. Legend of Korra tries its best to stay seperated from TLA but it still makes reference to the characters the old heroes of the world. its a good show but theres a bit of politics involved in it so i suspect itll never rank high in your patreon polls I hope you will start when you have the time.

Knight Spearhead

there are comics that plays after the war. hype for the legend of korra. You have to continue the journey while you are still going.

Vilapon

Time for Legend of Korra next? :D

Netflix having all four episodes as one is fantastic, imo. It's the only version that does so; even home releases have them separate. Because of that, Netflix is the only version of the show that retains the full opening recap intact, which I find to be a great "amp you up" kind of recap. Toph not getting that life-changing field trip with Zuko is still a crime. Hopefully, the upcoming movies can give us that. "You saved your uncle's sweaty sandal?" One of the best things about this show: everything comes back. If you don't remember, that sandal is from when Iroh was captured by earth kingdom soldiers halfway through season 1. I will never not break at the Iroh hug. Looks like yall managed to barely hang on as well. Everything. Comes. Back. Lion-turtle, such a key element, was only mentioned one time in the library in Season 2. Such an incredible pull. Knew you guys would love Toph's metal suit. It's so sick. Yeeeaaaah...definitely can't say Mai and Ty Lee's rebellion didn't do change anything. Azula's downward spiral is one of the greatest, and kind of saddest, endings for a villain. I say ending just because I can't think of a better word, despite her very much being alive. "Firelord striptease." I chuckled at this. "He's jacked." I mean, yeah. He may be an absolutely horrible person, and a horrible father, but I'm not about to pretend Ozai isn't daddy. "She looks like the joker at certain times." How appropriate that her father is Mark Hamill. Also, once again, shoutout to Grey Delisle for her fantastic performance as Azula. I don't know how many people agree with me, but I believe The Last Agni Kai to be one of the most beautiful moments ever depicted. Animation or live action, doesn't matter, it is so gorgeous. "He pushed the Avatar button." "You shouldn'ta did that." "Tickle fight!" I should not have laughed as hard as I did. Bucky is so opinionated, my goodness. I can make this recommendation gladly: read the sequel comics. I know you're watching korra next because of the poll, but the 6 sequel comics do a great job of continuing the story and bridging certain details of the two shows. Actually, I need to add on, just because of your discussions during the review portion, you're going to want to read the comics. Not sure if you want to react to it, or how you would, maybe just reviews, but I recommend reading them at the least. Yeah, the fact that Azula's downfall leaves you feeling no catharsis, only pain, is a sign of great character writing, I think. Thank you for going on this journey. Thoroughly enjoyed witnessing your reactions. So glad I got to up my tier to get the full experience for the end. I look forward to your reactions for Korra. It's a solid show, though it does have some issues that are mostly result of nickelodeon screwing them over, but I'll go into those details as they appear. For now, thank you again, and I'm excited for what's to soon come. Add-on: who would you say favorite side characters are? Personally, I love The Boulder.

DementisXYZ

One of the few shows where I didn't want it to end bc it meant I had to say bye to these characters. Thanks for reacting to it!

JT

I will forever love this show, thanks for watching it guys, it was great watching through it again with you.

Malcolm Shanks

The finale is so beautiful. The writing & animation are so well done. The Agni Kai is still one of my favorite duals even with the switch out to Katara & her smart thinking. Aang against Ozai is also so powerful & his struggle with finding his path to ending the battle. The fight & his awakening into the Avatar state is awesome, the switch to Ozai being the one fleeing & facing his justice. I also love Sokka holding Toph's hand through everything on the air ships, he knows she can't see & doesn't forget about her. While it's a running gag that everyone forgets she's blind, he always makes sure to do his best to keep her safe.

Chibi_Witch888

I absolutely loved watching your ATLA reactions. I do hope you check out the comics as it has a lot of cool stories that continue where the show left off before Legend of Korra. Excited for that reaction series too.

Logan Prime

I loved watching all of your reactions for this show, it has been so fun to see you enjoy the journeys that each of the characters went on. I agree that the way Aang defeated Ozai was very satisfying. It really showed how strong he has become as the Avatar by having his spirit be stronger that Ozai's. He chose to defeat Ozai his way and stick to his beliefs and to not give into the suggestions of others. I hope you check out the comic line, they help fill in some of the blanks after the show. Thank you for sharing your reactions with us. :)

The writers room when writing the Iroh Zuko scene: "Lets make some kids cry today."

Rinnzu Rosendale

finding zukos mother is in a stand alone book, and there comics that are after thr war

Kruxx

I sorta skipped to the end to hear the commentary first lol. Just wanna put this out there. The creators were initially planning to make the story of Zuko's mom a movie. It never panned out though. Luckily, they were able to tell the entire story in a 3 part graphic novel series called "Avatar: The Last Airbender – The Search". You can purchase it w/ all 3 parts combined though... Also.. if you just search "read avatar the search online" you can find it for free on tons of sites lol. Its amazing, and the artwork is gorgeous. Wish it had been animated, but its still just as amazing to read.
