2024-11-06 21:43:46 +0000 UTCI know I'm overthinking this but I noticed the Southern Raiders began to eliminate the remaining water benders-not only because they can develop skills to blood bend, but maybe because they were at the brink of penetrating the outer wall of Ba Sing Se. Must have thought the Avatar had already reincarnated into the Earth Kingdom and successfully invading Ba Sing Se meant the capture of the Avatar. Unfortunately lead by Iroh.

2024-11-05 16:35:07 +0000 UTCSomething to note: Back in Season 2 Zuko clearly struggled fighting against Azula however in this episode, as well as the previous episode, he clearly was able to match her evenly. It's believed that part of the reason for his increase of abilities is because he learned about firebending from the Sun Warriors.

I think Zuko was a mix of surprised, interested, and terrified. He's fought against Katara several times. They go head to head blow for blow. He knows she's strong. But I don't think he could have imagined that level of power and strength Then when she makes the rain dome, Zuko straight up removes his mask in awe. Zuko saw Kataras full popotential!!!!!!! Better not get on her bad side!!!!

2024-11-04 21:43:45 +0000 UTCI never hear anyone really mention it when reacting to this episode (not a big deal, don't worry), but one thing to understand about Zuko's loyalty to Katara seeing through to her goal was that he also knows what its like for the Fire Nation to essentially take his mother away from him. Thus far, he was never had an oppurtunity to just, find closure about the whole thing. You can tell that while his main goal is to do right for Katara so they can move forward together as team, he also sees himself in her and is determined to do whatever it takes to see this through for her, where he couldn't for himself.
