2024-11-13 22:08:01 +0000 UTCWith Aang the monks knew he was the Avatar as a young child because he picked the 4 relics (Aang thought they were children's toys) that belonged to his previous lives. They intended to tell Aang when he was 16 (like how the Fire Sages told Roku at 16) but the war changed things. For Korra the White Lotus were searching both water tribes for the next Avatar since the next Avatar after Aang would be a water bender and there were probably other kids born on the same day. Korra was VERY obviously the Avatar because she could already do other types of bending so they didn't even need to do other tests 😂

2024-11-13 00:16:20 +0000 UTCI think it's because in the beginning of this they were searching for the Avatar, but didn't seem to know of an exact way of finding the avatar. They just saw Korra and were like, "Yep, she's powerful." Whereas with Aang wasn't he told that he was the Avatar? 🤔

Avatar Kiyoshi seemed like she was much stronger than Korra physically and was significantly taller than her as well. Also Ken's theory is interesting however one isn't passed over or "chosen" to be the next avatar. They just are. Reincarnation and whatnot.

2024-11-12 02:19:12 +0000 UTCWith Mako's backstory he could have easily become this universe's version of Batman lol. I love Pabu too, he is adorable! He is a fire ferret just like Bolin, Mako, and Korra's bending team name. I like Ken's theory but Amon is too old to be in the running for Avatar given that Korra is only in her teens and Amon's voice doesn't sound like a teen at all. The spirit of the Avatar is passed down to someone born the day the previous Avatar dies so if Amon is older than Korra, even by a day, he would have been born before Aang's death. I'm definitely looking forward to how your theories evolve as the season progresses.
