Yes we did see that! Very cool 🤩

This episode really has a bunch of things to think about. When Kinger mentions 7 years of computer science, it makes me think that perhaps he was one of the programmers for the Circus. Kinger also mentions that he used to hate bugs, which are one of the most annoying things for a programmer. We also understand more about Kinger's behavior in the Circus. The pillow fort he always crawls into is dark so he can "remember". It was when Kinger said "I think-" after that pause of his was when he started acting differently since it was relatively dark at the manor. When the angel was screaming and all the eyes appeared in its mouth, Kinger said "You look beautiful honey", probably because all those eyes reminded him of his wife when she abstracted and that he still loved her regardless of her form. During Zooble's "therapy" session, every time Zooble said "Nevermind" or "Forget it", Caine literally forgot about the conversation because he is just an AI following orders.

Kinger's character development in this episode is so incredibly good. Not only because we finally get to see the real him and learn why he spends most of his time in a pillow fort, but also because there are a couple hints towards the deeper lore during the scene in hell. First, the fact that the spirit that possessed Pomni somehow knew about Kinger's wife (which felt oddly personnal for what is supposedly an AI made by Caine), and secondly, Kinger saying "7 years of computer science for this", which either means he was referring to himself, or to the time it took to make the Digital Circus. Of course, the overall message of the episode is still the most important part. The music that plays when Pomni and Kinger are walking through the hall of the damned is called ""Evocazioni d'Amore", by Alessandro Alessandroni, a composer who apparently made a lot of music for old Italian movies (notably in the 70s), including most classic Spaghetti Western movies (like "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly"). This particular music itself was composed in 1974, and I won't lie that I've been listening to it a bunch of times since watching the episode.

Episodes 1 and 2 had some bits of foreshadowing regarding Kinger's wife and memory condition. Episode 1: - As Pomni and Ragatha are passing the circus' bedrooms, a portrait can be seen of a character with a queen chess piece for a head that has been crossed out with an X. This was very likely Kinger's wife. - When Kinger is surrounded by darkness he keeps asking about an insect collection, probably recalling his wife's passion as an entomology. Episode 2: - Kinger recalls how panicked Ragatha was when she was still new to the Digital Circus when he has a bucket over his head.

Perhaps you may have seen it, but The Amazing Digital Circus has managed to makes its way onto Netflix! Big development for indie animation.
