Wow love the political drama they added to this episode, definitely created some tension and mystique (as well as anger from Bethany lol), and make us wonder how the plot goes from here on out. This episode is a reminder that there are many forms of power that exist, and while Korra and the others have bending power, Tarlok has bending power AND political power, which makes him 10x more deadly

2024-12-01 07:06:19 +0000 UTC*Sees Air Temple Island* Oh hey! This is the one with the best facial reaction! *3 minutes later* There it is! Always great! Man...the opening of this episode always makes me forget just how heavy this episode gets. Also, I was in my early 20s when this first aired, so I was still fairly oblivious to politics, but now, the unfortunate realism of this is terrifying. Credit where it's due to the writers, making villains as despicable of Ozai and Azula in so few episodes is tricky, but they did a good job with Tarrlok.

2024-12-01 01:51:07 +0000 UTCNo this isn't the first time you guys saw Mako produce lightning. He was producing lightning in earlier episodes when he was working in the factory as prev commenters pointed out. He's also produced lightning in prev other fights before this.

2024-11-30 13:11:38 +0000 UTCI love Aang's grandchildren, all three of them have a piece of his personality and it's adorable. Even Tenzin has his moments where he acts like his father. They did show Mako lightning bend in the 3rd episode but it was very brief when they were showing that he got a job at the power plant. Lightning bending seems to be much more common in LOK since they have figured out how to incorporate it into occupations. Though I'm not sure if it is common enough that every firebender can do it.
