I loved when I played it and hope to see it done justice with this remake. If you ever have a spare ohhh i dont know week or two to burn lol I would highly suggest playing through the games in release order. The do make fantastic interactive movies lol. Obviously I kid, but the Metal Gear franchise is one of the greats when it comes to story telling.
