Full watch along reaction to D&D Honor Among Thieves

True. It would be cool to see them do a serious one πŸ™‚

That's really fun that they had the main cast of the 1980s show in background here. 😊

The next one doesn't even have to be a comedy. DND has some pretty cool pre made campaigns that they could adapt to film that could have a much more serious tone

That's why it seemed a bit long. Comedies should be 90 minutes. I remember seeing the extended version for 40 year old virgin which was a mistake because it extended it 15 minutes and I was like, "this is 15 minutes too long." So if they can keep the same tone for a sequel and just aim for the 90 minute mark I think it would be even better πŸ˜€

Such a fun moive! Dungeons & Dragons is a multiverse, a collection of worlds and realities that make up a universe of dimensions. It includes every official D&D campaign setting and every unofficial world created by Dungeon Masters. Here are some of the official campaign settings: Forgotten Realms Theros Eberron Wildemount (part of Exandria, aka Critical Role/The Legend of Vox Machina) Ravenloft Dark Sun Dragonlance This movie take place in the Forgotten Realms setting. The Forgotten Realms is a campaign setting for Dungeons & Dragons that was originally created in 1967 as a setting for short stories by Ed Greenwood. It has since become one of the most enduring campaign settings for D&D. In the Forgotten Realms, when a mortal dies, their soul goes to the afterlife realm of the deity they are closest to, assuming they are broadly aligned with that deity. Some examples of different deities' afterlife realms: Kelemvor: Kelemvor is the Lord of the Dead, and his realm is the City of Judgment. This is where souls go to be judged before they are sent to their final destination. Lathander: Lathander is the god of birth and renewal, and his realm is the Morning Glory Garden. This is a beautiful and peaceful place where souls go to be reborn. Myrkul: Myrkul is the god of death and decay, and his realm is the Bone Castle. This is a dark and foreboding place where souls go to be tormented. Tymora: Tymora is the goddess of luck and good fortune, and her realm is the Happy Hunting Grounds. This is a place of endless joy and celebration, where souls go to be rewarded for their good deeds. Bane: Bane is the god of tyranny and strife, and his realm is the Black Bastion. This is a place of endless suffering and torment, where souls go to be punished for their misdeeds. Overall, the afterlife realms of different deities in the Forgotten Realms can vary widely depending on the nature of the deity and their alignment. So many easter eggs for DnD fans, too many to list. Personally favroite have to be: The fat Dragon, Themberchaud. Raised by the grey dwarves of the Underdark city of Gracklstugh, Themberchaud keeps the vast forges of the infamous City of Blades lit and is known by the title Wyrmsmith. This relationship proved mutually beneficial, and Themberchaud grew fat on the regular sacrifices of disobedient slaves and captive adventurers from the surface that were offered to him in exchange for his aid. Themberchaud plays a major role in the 2015 module Out of the Abyss. And my absolute favorite may just be that the main cast of the 1980s "Dungeons & Dragons" animated TV series show up in background cameos in the film. They're one of the other groups competing in the High Sun Games.

This film was a lot of fun, and a little campy but that's all it needed to be really. The party are goofy, disorganized, nobodies which is exactly what actual DND is compared to something like Lord of the Rings. As for a sequel I like the idea of following a new group and a different story
