Prologue

A.N.: Here is a little Christmas gift for you all.

Something that has been stuck in my mind for a long time, and I decided to write because of the end of BNHA.

I feel good for being a Hero Academia believer even in the dark times of the shitty fandom and the Deku slander.

Merry Christmas, you all.

Depending on the reception of this, it can become a regular story.

......................

People are not born equal in this world.

This is already an established rule, but it becomes even more prominent when, suddenly, one day, people start awakening unique powers. The differences provenient of birth, money, and social status dropped to second place.

Now the biggest and most important factor is your power, your quirk.

The story of this world would be centered around Japan, the birthplace of the two strongest powers in the world, the ultimate battlefield of Good and Evil, the stage of this show.

But Japan doesn’t matter now.

Because almost exactly on the other side of the world, a person who shouldn’t exist is making his preparations to finally step on this stage.

In Brazil, in a slightly messy apartment, a youngster is standing in front of the mirror, shirtless, striking some poses.

You can notice some distinct features in this youngster... The white hair, the very fit and cut body, the star-shaped birthmark on his shoulder, and other minor things like his seemingly painted nails and colorful lips...

But what would attract the most attention would be the scars covering his slightly tanned skin. Anyone seeing them would be shell-shocked by their severity and how they look fatal.

Around his neck like he stitched his head to his body,

On his right shoulder, till almost his navel, like a huge sword, almost cleaved him in two... This one in particular is the biggest. The wound goes all the way to his back; a smaller scar reaches the lowest part of his shoulder plates.

His right arm also has a scar on his bíceps that looks like his arm was cut off and reattached.

There’s one a little above his hip, like he has been bitten by a Shark.

Bullet holes on his chest, where his heart should be.

Burn marks on his forearm.

And it goes on.

Something strange that one would notice is that he doesn’t have “minor” scars. Beyond those horrendous scars, the rest of his skin is completely smooth. As he got rid of them and just kept the worst ones, or he couldn’t be hurt by anything beneath those horrific scars.

One can only imagine how horrible his life was; that body is not something a 14-year old boy like him should have.

But despite that...

“Hahaha! I’ve seen enough, I’m satisfied!” The youngster laughs merrily, without a hint of darkness, trauma, or depression on his face.

He is a happy fella.

“Ah, yes, I still haven’t organized my bags...” He suddenly says, but then he smiles “But it doesn’t matter because I have... STAND POWAH!” He strikes another pose.

Like in a cue, a ghostly outline appears around him, blue and humanoid is the only thing you can identify before it changes. Then a gold figure appears, then a pink with light blue, then a purple one...

He has multiple of those ghosts!

“Hahahahaha! Reincarnating as a toddler was a drag, but the benefit is that...” He smiles at his own reflection “...I’m fucking OP.”

“Let’s add some Bizarre in that Hero Academia.” He laughs again

..............................................

10 Years Earlier

People are not borne qual in this world... and the world is not fair.

Your place of birth is a huge factor in how your life will go.

Some countries are rich, others are poor, some have strong roots in religion, some are in war, others are in peace, and even the fact that some are cold and others are hot influences the way of life...

And in a individual level, when meta-powers suddenly appeared in the world, the difference between countries becomes much more evident.

At first, everything was in chaos. It doesn’t matter which country and how “civilized” it was before; with the advent of quirks, all of them downgraded to a “Jungle-level” civilization where people prey on each other.

But humans are highly adaptable, and with time Order was desired and re-established, in a new way obviously. Heroes are now the cornerstone of this new era and the pillar of this new system.

But what happens when the system does not work? What happens when the system is implemented badly? Or was it bad even before? What happens when the heroes are corrupt? What happens when there are no heroes at all?

Well, chaos prevails.

Even after a century since the first quirk manifestation, many countries around the world are still stuck in the “dark era” and no one outside them seems to care.

Europe, Usa, and Japan all went back to the rails of progress, but other countries, mostly beneath the Equator Line, still look like scenarios of a post-apocalypse movie.

Brazi lis such a country. The situation is bad, really bad there.

And it’s the birthplace of a person, or maybe it would be more accurate to say “the rebirth place” of a special person. Someone reborn with nothing but that will eventually be gifted with everything, with a small price, of course.

In the trash-littered streets of this country, a boy walks aimlessly.

At the age of 4, he finally gained awareness; he is finally starting to remember his last life, and he doesn’t like one bit the situation where he finds himself.

“No... no... This is wrong... I am... I am...” The kid mutters as his small feet take him God knows where.

The kid is in bad shape, trampled and with dirty hair, an oversized shirt covering his modesty, barefoot, and obviously malnourished.

He lived this way for almost five years, but today is the first time he looks unsatisfied, like the fog in his mind was dispersed. Till now, living like a sub-human was normal for him.

He looks around, the city is empty... It’s weird because this looks like a well-developed block, delapidated obviously, but well-developed. The buildings are big, there are lamp posts, and cars.

But there is no glass in the buildings, moss and vines cover many walls, the cars have no wheels or anything more inside, and there are signs of destruction all over the place.

It’s literally a post-apocalypse scenario; he can’t describe it in any other way. It looks like a city that was abandoned by humans ebcause of zombies or something like that, nature taking it back slowly.

But he knows that zombies are not culprits; it’s the humans.

His adult mind slowly settles in his child brain, and something starts making sense; he starts correctly guessing the reason...

He more or less knows the state of this country. He can piece two things together; he is a Brazilian in his last life, too.

First thing... Brazil is huge. It’s officially the 5th biggest country in the world, and it would even be bigger than the USA without Alaska. It’s too big to be administered effectively in this corrupt system, too big to establish order effectively. It’s unclear if even the Symbol of Peace would be able to reach everywhere.

Now, the four bigger countries are not nearly as bad as Brazil. Why is that? The easy answer is obviously because they’re richer and more well-developed before the emergence of quirks; there’s a groundwork there where it was made possible to work more easily.

The USA received some help too in the form of All Might, Canada was always more peaceful, and China and Russia were much more centered countries, easy to take control of with a strong fist.

Brazil, on the other hans was at the mercy of newly-awakened power-hungry people, an easy prey really. Basically, it is a fucked country where the people in power are more worried about keeping their power, and the people below them want to grab the biggest amount of “power” that they can.

Hence, creating this no-man's land that is today.

To be fair, other places in the world have it even worse. Some zones are constantly in war, and tyrants keep themselves in power by using their own and their subordinates' quirk. Democracy, laws, and human rights don’t have much weight when you can do whatever you want.

The geopolitics of Brazi lis kind of simple. Big and rich cities, mostly the capital of each state, are pretty much normal, no different from any city in a well-developed country.

Outside that, the level of structure drops significantly, and poor cities are filled with crime and with the bare minimum of infrastructure to keep running. In those cities, “villains” do whatever they want; in truth, the “peace” was kept by those villains as they defend their territories.

A resident of a city would be encouraged to only practice crimes in other cities or areas, while defending their own area from criminals from other cities. It’s gang wars, but without the care to keep things hidden anymore.

Then there’s the rest of the country that is pretty much where the Kid is stranded right now. An abandoned space that is too problematic to keep running.

It’s not empty, of course, one would bet that one of those destroyed buildings probably has people living on them, the ones at the margin of society, maybe sleeping till night so that they can go out to steal and fight for survival against others.

It’s really a jungle of concrete and iron.

The boy doesn’t belong here; he lives in an orphanage in a poor Community close by. It’s bad, but not as bad as this god-forsaken block. He just got lost while his mind was confused.

“Ugh... Another life? Powers?” The boy continues muttering to himself, organizing his thoughts, adapting to the situation, “Heroes...” In the back of his mind, he recognizes this world.

But it is different, he is not in Japan, so the answer remains on the tip of his tongue... Almost there. Maybe the absurdity is blocking his mind from adapting to the fact that he was reborn in a fictional world. Maybe his little brain can’t contain all of his older psyche.

“This is really happening?” He continues to say with his eyes down.

There’s no warning of the change in the situation, suddenly he is aware that he lived almost 5 years in the auto-pilot. It still feels a little like a dream, a lucid dream that he could wake up at any moment.

Anxiety and calmness wrestle inside him as he continues to walk robotically around. Maybe he needs something more to wake up, an external stimulus...

The stimulus appears in front of him suddenly. The sound of scuffling boots on the concrete takes him out of his reverie.

“What do we have here?”

“A kid?”

“You are too far from whatever you came from, boy.”

Three men with completely unfriendly appearances block his path.

Two have similar skinny builds, while the other is fat.

The fat guy has ridiculously big hands, big enough to grab an adult man's torso like a soda can. One of the skinny guys look completelly normal with the exception of the dark blue hair escaping from his cap, but the last skinny dude looks truly monstrous.

He is all black, pitch black, and covered with scales; his mouth is exaggeratedly big, too. He is like a humanoid snake.

The kid notices how bad the situation he put himself immediatelly. He is in a fucked country, in a lawless area, meeting three people that are obviously criminals(the skinny normal guy is not hiding his revolver), all alone.

Anything can happen, and he is powerless to stop.

One thing that is necessary to say about the kid... His previous life, even without the supernatural elements of quirks, was not that much better when compared to this one. He has been in his fair share of bad situations.

And he is no coward.

“C’mon on then!” He raises his small fists, ready to fight “I-I will bite one of you three!” He shouts defiantly.

In truth, he is ready to run away as fast as he can. He is no Coward, but he is not stupid... In the moment of the tree, try to do something, probably acting alone, thinking he is a stupid kid, he will try run away using some opening and blind spot.

He even changes stances to kung-fu to try to sell the idea that he is stupid and make them underestimate him. His only advantage is that he is as smart as an adult and they don’t know it.

“...”

But to his surprise, the trio of criminals pauses, staring at him, and then, “Hahahahahaha!” they burst out laughing.

Not a threatening or creepy laugh, just a heartfelt laugh that some uncles would give if they see their young nephew embarrassing himself.

“Who is this kid?! Hahaha”

“Is that a crane stance? Pfffhehehe”

“You’re funny, kiddo! Gahaha”

“...” The kid stays rooted in his place, with his head tilting to the side.

After some deep breaths, the trio stops.

“Heck, I almost died.”

“What is your name, boy?”

“Are you lost?”

“...I don’t have a name.” He manages to squeeze out.

“Oh, an orphan then.” The snake guy realizes.

At this point, society is so hard to live in that some orphans doesn’t are not given a name or documents till a certain age. Normally happens when they receive their quirks.

Then everything is registered together, quirk, name, age… Only when you have a quirk can you gain your documents. Only when you have power do you become human.

“He must be from Maria’s Orphanage.” The fat man suddenly says

“Oh, true, it’s close by.”

“Okay, brat. We are gonna take you back there.” The fat guy grabs him easily with his oversized hands, and the trio of man goes in their paths carrying the kid back. Talking between themselves while ignoring him, fight the big hand.

……………………………………

“....”

“........”

“.............”

They really simply dropped him back at the orphanage.

Society will label them as villains, and yes, they commit crimes... But when you label every criminal as a villain, the word loses weight. They are not monsters that would do evil things for shit and giggles.

Gang members? Yes. Criminal? Yes. Evil? That too. Psychopath monsters? No.

They have standards. If the boy were older or had any valuables, they would probably steal from him or at least try to bring him into the gang life, but a kid is a kid. This trio, at least are not monsters that would rape or sell him, or his organs.

Probably one, or even all of them, ar on the same situation when they are kids.

“All roads lead to Rome.” They also probably think that eventually this kid will end up just like them. The Gang Wars need new blood, too.

The kid stares dumbfounded forward, even after being dropped in the orphanage, and not entirely by the strangeness of the situation. Or his luck.

He stares forward because there… invisible to everyone but him, a screen floats.

A.N.: A pity that Horikoshi didn’t develop the world beneath Japan. Such waste.

Now tell me, how do you think your country would be in the MHA world? I know mine would be an even worse hellhole.

Thanks for reading. Go to the next chapter if you liked the premise.

Venezuela? Something my country taught me is that things can always get worse. So there is a chance that Venezuela would be completely destroyed as a nuclear wasteland but I think it is more likely that things would get better, because there is no way the dictatorship could keep power over a super powered population when the military is such a joke. After the fall of the dictatorship there could be some chaos but I don’t see it getting worse than it is right now. Because the average Venezuelan isn’t evil but most of our current government is cartoonish evil.
