2023-07-22 17:11:49 +0000 UTCThe General is General James Ironwood. He and Qrow are both definitely second-tier characters at the moment. Bethany was right - the guy who attacked Ruby's team (Tyrian) in this episode is a scorpion Faunus. Although his hair also mimics his tail as well - an early hint from the artists about what he was. Not the Chesire Cat, unfortunately. As far as Weiss' summons - Winter explained it back in early Volume 3 - she can summon her fallen foes, particularly those who forced her to push past who she was - so any enemy that gave her a particular challenge in some way. This is the first truly successful summoning Weiss has pulled off, though she did do a partial summon at the Battle of Beacon when she was trying to save Velvet (the rabbit Faunus with the camera and mimic power) from the Atlas mech - then she managed to summon the arm and sword of the knight she fought in her original trailer. And think about how much Weiss has grown since Volume 1 - most people hate her in the first Volume, but the arc she's gone on is incredible. She's really a fan favorite.

2023-07-22 16:30:30 +0000 UTCWeiss's sister mentioned summoning as ability to bring those they defeated to their side. The boar was a grimm Weiss defeated in Ports class in season one. The sword she summoned during season 3 fight was same as the knight she fought from her trailer. So anything she beats could be summoned unless there are limits not yet mentioned.
