Dragon Ball Z Kai #127 Full Reaction

His name...was Vegeta.

Comments

literally just lying now bruh it takes place after z therefor it is a sequel to Z, calm down blud

REDE

I've watched both the movies and the show's version. Imo, there is little value in watching the show's version of those arcs. Up to them what they wanna do though 🤷‍♂️

Gus

nah yassine its def better to watch the movies. The super versions have some neat stuff in them, but not enough to justify picking them over the movies. While battle of the gods was decent in super (though a little slower than the movie) the awesome moments with kakarot & vegeta are not available in super can't really spoil much. Resurrection F nearly ruined the show for a lot of people because it had so many issues with it. So it's better watch the movies first then, start with DB super episode 28. (that's where the new stuff starts).

Halibel

Thats the dumbest thing they could do because they would miss actual important episodes. Just watch Super from ep 1. People who say to skip them don't know what they are talking about. DBS has barely any actual filler. All of it is canon except for 1 or 2 episodes. Yes the movies have better animation i will not deny that but the Anime has episodes that are actually important to the overarching story throughout all of DBS. But i guess you wouldn't know that since you probably never even bothered to watch them.

Yassine Biggie

so tell them bro not to mention it isn't that hard to figure out.

REDE

He’s wrong, guys. It’s not a sequel. I’ll leave it at that.

k c

*@REDE* They literally expressed not knowing when it takes place in the reaction here.

k c

While that's true, the movies do it better. The first couple of seasons of Super aren't especially good.

Jennifer Sunderland

yup thanks gus watch the first two movies then go to episode 26 yea my bad i dont know why i said prologue its a sequel to dbzk.

Halibel

I wouldn't say it's a prologue. The first two arcs of Super are essentially a retelling of the first two Dragon Ball Super movies. There's no point watching the filler heavy arcs (with bad animation) when they can just watch the movies

Gus

hope i can convince you with my comment SAM i really believe this is the definitive way to watch dbz super they are not ready both of the movies are like dbz but with steroids and the pacing is effing amazing

Halibel

ALL OF THIS IS AFTER DBZK OF COURSE. ok i just did research the one in super is highly altered in terms of animation and is not as good as both of the movies and the cool ass moments with goku and vegeta you guys are missing ton of content's if they don't react to the movies i saw on reddit that the best way to experience dbz super is by watching both of the movies first which is Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods & Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection 'F' and continuing on ep 28 of DBZ SUPER

Fr. I disagree with the OP, I think this is one scene that Kai excels far better than the original Z dub ever could’ve but they weren’t whining at all, they were being as respectful as possible. Chill out lol

Shadowpunch13

You gotta remember, Krillin was out of the game, he had settled down and not trained in ages, he only trained for the tournament and only expecting to get a middle placement with everyone else joining, just for some prize money. Even Goku and Gohan knew this, before he was turned to stone by Dabura, they said to him to get out of there as it seemed like this was getting way dicey for him. I loved Piccolo's honesty in this episode too, he could of told Vegeta what he wanted to hear, as he would of never known. But he chose to tell him the truth, that he had lived his life selfishly and he had killed too many innocence to receive the same reward at Goku. Vegeta's sacrifice I've watched in every version on YouTube, its done so magnificently in Kai and the original funimation dub (the one I watched on TV when I was younger), but the original Japanese version actually made me sob in how it was done, its perfect. I recommend anyone to go out find it and watch it.

Leegion

I mean if theyre starting from episode 1 of super, they dont have to watch the movies. The fist 2 seasons of super are basically the 2 movies covered

Samspark

Time for the rise of earth's greatest hero, the champ himself, the man who saved earth from self, The Mighty Mr. Satan!

You're free to not read the comments REDE, no one is forcing you.

Shway Norris

recommending and whining is different stop whining REDE

Halibel

Guys before you watch DBZ super watch Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods first its a movie introducing characters from super its basically a prologue to super

Halibel

Not to mention, I think TFS have gone on record saying if they ever have one single regret about not covering the Buu saga, it's not being able to do this very scene.

Shadowpunch13

There's a tweet from Lanipator, the voice of Abridged Vegeta. Where he does the "I do this for you, Bulma, Trunks, and even you Kakarot" (with a abridged flair), somewhere out there. I highly encourage to take a look at it, it's brief, but definitely a nice nod to one of the best moments in the entirety of DBZ.

Flitzferkeugah

you should look up the definition of whining.

Yanpo

Bruh they have already watched the Fighter Z and Legends Finishes so it's a lil late bud

REDE

Great vid, glad you are liking the series thus far! Also Dragon ball super is a sequel after Dragon ball Z.

REDE

Bruh can yall stop whining about the original dub its kind of irritating

REDE

He left the series as he came into it. Like a boss.

Jennifer Sunderland

I’m glad you were in denial until the very end lol. Makes for a better reaction. Almost had me tearing up, myself.

k c

I gotta give the voice actor for Buu props. As a guy with a higher pitched voice, I still couldn't make my voice go that high. That's pretty impressive.

Gus

Keep it spoiler free, please. For the sake of the reactions… Don’t even explain what DBS is to them (like when it takes place).

k c

“Say ‘sike,’ right now.” - Beth

k c

Yeah, for some reason that scene really hit me. You can see and hear the hurt he feels when he realizes what his fate will be.

Gus

Another awesome reaction guys! I would strongly recommend watching the original dub of that scene because I feel it hits so much harder. If you’re interested just search vegetas final atonement on YouTube and you’ll find it. If you can I’m sure we’d all love a reaction to that as well. See you guys in the next one!

Ritt

My favorite part of the episode was Vegeta asking Piccolo whether or not he would see Kakarot/Goku in the afterlife, and after hearing the truth from Piccolo, Vegeta just says "so be it" and doesn't hesitate to sacrifice himself for everyone

Rich

Rip Vegeta, everyone’s favorite asshole 🤧🫶🏽

Jesus Fernandez

Behold. Arguably the single most gratifying moment people remember this arc for. End of Act 1.

Shadowpunch13

Here immediately as it dropped! This is the episode I’ve been waiting for, and the episode that cemented Vegeta as my favorite character OAT, the saiyan prince!
