2023-08-07 19:14:40 +0000 UTCi get that since its japan but still it outweighs the awesomeness of the show and the cool ass moments with kirito and asuna and the atmosphere really is different. the original will always be better than the abridged version cause of that reason it really is pref if u like comedy & unserious atmophere go with abridged but objectively speaking original takes it by the mile

2023-08-07 01:04:59 +0000 UTCEpisodes like this are why I think SAO Abridged is probably the best abridged series ever, because it improved on a questionable anime full of questionable scenes and character interactions. For example, in this episode of the actual SAO they kept making it a point to highlight the sexuality of the scenes with Silica (the little girl, who is 14 by the way at this point in the show). They'd always point out when she was in her underwear, one scene had a long and obvious butt shot (you get a glimpse of it in the abridged version), and the part where the plant beast has her upside down, she's screaming telling Kirito not to look because she's "exposed". You really get NONE of that in this version of the episode and it's SO MUCH better.

Fun fact most young boy character back in the day(they might still do this dint remember ) use to be done by female actress in the japanese version hence the you sound like a girl joke
