Yeah that is probably why the ecchi was in the story. And yes it was so sad that the author died. As now this story will probably never get finished :(

2023-07-16 16:55:33 +0000 UTCWhen they did the dystopia and zombie survival parts, they did a seriously good job at it. Properly dark, but I guess that's why the ecchi. It's the replacement for comedy to not let the show go too dark. Pity that the mangaka died. HSotD will live as a cult classic.

2023-07-16 16:50:35 +0000 UTCOh I agree about HSotD even though I usually love it. Because how people reacted to a zombie apocalypse is the most accurate of any media that I have seen pretty much. But because of the ecchi it makes it harder to recommend to people

2023-07-16 16:46:19 +0000 UTCThe last zombie anime that was pure apocalypse that I remember was High School of the Dead, though it had so much ecchi in it, that I wished they did less fan service and more zombie surviving. Zom 100 is definitely living up to be one of the best interpretations of the genre, live action Hollywood stuff included.
