technically anakin is the chosen one, he brought balance to the force, keyword BALANCE the universe was oversaturated with Jedi while there were like 2 maybe 3 Sith lords out an about against thousands of jedis... they just misunderstood what bringing "balance" meant, so technically he did bring balance because in the end the number of Jedi to sith ratio became more balanced :)
