So this anime is just another timeline which is why it fit into the source material for much. Also yeah the part about the environment of the white city is correct. The only thing which they did not show from the game was the alien mothership. But otherwise it seems to be just as in the source material

2023-07-26 07:23:35 +0000 UTCI did like your theory about the lack of textures, but that's just how the area is in the game as well. A cheap facsimile of a human environment. A-1 and Aniplex really did luck out with it like you said though lol. And Eve dying here is wild, since in the game this is where Adam died. Honestly, Nier is one of the few stories where adaptations being different from the source material is such an on-brand thing to do.
