2023-09-11 22:49:16 +0000 UTCFun fact: the Nuckelavee is not a natural grimm, so there *shouldn't* be any more running around. the crew commentary states that the Nuckelavee is a forced fusion of a unnamed Horse type grimm and an Imp Grimm

2023-09-11 20:37:45 +0000 UTCIt's funny to think about how _weird_ that last scene must've been for Oscar. At this point, he still doesn't really know what to believe, and probably still thinks the voice in is head is just that, and that he's going crazy. Someone else recognizing him because of the voice, and handing him some tangible proof, is probably mind-blowing.

2023-08-22 17:07:15 +0000 UTCI can imagine it is very hard to pace so many plotlines. Especially on a limited budget.

2023-08-22 17:06:41 +0000 UTCThe Oscar scenes def did break up some of the intensity and heaviness throughout the season and I think they do a decent job of introducing you to this new guy who suddenly is forced away to join our group. You probably don’t start to sympathize with him too much until later on when the show reveals more. Ppl have said this Volume and the next are the worst and it largely is bc of having to pick up from all the build-up that was 1-3 but in this Volume it was as well bc the show spread itself a little thin with its characters. And to give a little insight, Cinder wasn’t mopey bc of losing to Ruby. Her new Maiden powers are directly countered by Ruby’s silver eyes, Salem explained that bit in like episode 1 of the volume or something, she also lost her voice and was struggling with that. Now I don’t think those were good for her character writing bc it’s just a really sudden departure from her regular self and since she’s stuck with Salem you don’t get to see her cunning and ruthlessness that she was able to do at Beacon. Cinder is an….. interesting case of the RWBY villains to say the least.

2023-08-21 00:18:59 +0000 UTCYeah volume 4 was good but definitely struggles chewing everything it bit off. Not that I have any idea what could have been cut, it was all pretty important and time sensitive. Probably just a result of schedule and budget constraints.

2023-08-20 03:29:36 +0000 UTCOut of all the Grimm monsters that they've shown throughout the whole series, this one is my favorite. I love the design of it, it really does look like something out of a horror movie. I can't wait to see you start volume 5! There's a lot of great character development coming up!

2023-08-20 01:39:40 +0000 UTCA fun thing about Ren’s semblance too: do a quick second watch of V3C1 after team RWBY and team JNPR are done eating at the noodle shop. Nora goes on her rant and starts to lose her color. Some speculate that it was Ren using his semblance to mask her emotions.

2023-08-20 01:19:18 +0000 UTCYeah I think pretty much the whole fandom is with you on the pacing issues this volume. The previous 3 volumes had the luxury of all the main cast almost always being together and following a single storyline. This volume we have four separate storylines for the main girls, plus Oscar, AND more villain content than usual. It's a whole lot to juggle.

2023-08-20 00:08:28 +0000 UTCThat horse grimm is called a nuckelavee it is based on the nuckelavee of norse mythology. ren had a lot more to lose then nora, at the time It seemed like nora had already lost everything. So she wasn't as effected as ren was, if anything she gained a life long friend from that tragedy.
