Reborn as a Vending Machine Episode 5 Live Reaction (FULL)

I know this is a couple of weeks old by now. But Boxxo hasn’t just been helping girls. He did agree to help the guys until he found out they were bandits. And he gave the free bottles of sports drinks to the wounded hunters at his own will because he wanted to help them. The reason he is so hesitant to help Captain Kerioil is because he is suspicious of his motives. In episode two he saw the calculating look after the Captain found out he can use the barrier and was like “yeah, no, this guy is giving me some vibes that he could be up to no good”.

Not necessarily. The advice that Lammis and Hulemy gave as well as the samples Boxxo let them get examples from would be great ways to work around. Use animal milk, cook the pasta to a certain texture and just increase the amount of the available flavouring they have. They want to fight with their own power, after all, because if one day Boxxo has to leave, they wouldn’t be able to rely on him providing more spices and they’d go back to how things were. “But what about the other food he provides?” He never provides meals while the restaurants are open so he doesn’t interfere with sales. Drinks and snacks are fine but never things like oden or his new takeaway meals, and the cup ramen was mainly because restaurants were mostly out of order because of the two-headed snake wrecking most of the village.

And what limited seasoning and spices they had where also expensive, I think Boxxo mentioned as well. Which would also affect the restaurants bottom line if that was the case. As if they had to buy expensive seasons and spices, they would be forced to have a higher price then to even make some profit. Meaning that then they probably would not have been able to compete with the chain restaurant. As people would or could not spend all that much more money on a meal. So the only real solution is that they had to have bought the seasoning and spices from Boxxo if we follow how business and economic works, alongside the information given in this episode

(Edit comment im responding to got deleted not by me but ill leave this up still)no im saying they explicitly stated all food taste plain compared to vending machine as they don't have spices or seasoning in this world. if they wanted to avoid this all they had to say was he gave them seasoning (which are sold in vending machines) or it was a bit better than normal flavoring known to this world. the issue stems from the same episode establishing his flavors can't be replicated meaning you can make all you want out of inspiration but it'd still taste like ass based on how they were breaking it down. as all his flavors come from added preservatives and bad stuff that give it said flavor ontop of those spices.

imma assume they got inspiration with what they already had? but idk kinda confusing to be honest I think it would have made more sense to show him selling them spices

AH Brandon Reviews

Yeah like as if those spices where available for some local business to get. Then a chain restaurant should be able to get them as well. Unless they got them from Boxxo, otherwise it doesn’t makes sense

Didrik Svahn

right but they also said they don't have the spices to flavor it in this world so without him providing the spices it goes against what they established in this episode

AH Brandon Reviews

Yup. They based their dishes on the samples Boxxo provided.

Nope, his food was the inspiration for them. At 17:42 they wonder what would be in that sauce and what they would use. At 18:01 Boxxo says .. ~Once I left them sample the goods, the shopkeepers set about developing menus based on them .

Alecryn

im just going to assume they sold his food since it looked identical to what he sold

AH Brandon Reviews

Well he said that flavoring did cost a lot in this world from what I heard. Which would mean that the food probably would be much more expensive then. But maybe I’m just overthinking this show which is a talking vending machine? XD

Didrik Svahn

I thought they were saying they sold his food but maybe they did just use it as influence. ill just assume if thats the case he sold them spices as in this episode when they taste tested the chain restaurant he said they don't have spices in this world to make it good so idk

AH Brandon Reviews

Yeah is what that did confuse me, as I thought if the spices was that easy to come by why does not everybody do this already. But this situation reminds me of that Simpson scene where they are at food stands. And when they order food from different stands it all comes from the same place lol XD

Didrik Svahn

seems like they sold his stuff as they dont have spices so idk how they'd get the flavor without selling his food

AH Brandon Reviews

Well it’s a weird show so it having a “weird” OP should not be that surprising IMAO Also I was a bit confused did Boxxo sell them the food stuff or just inspire them to make their own stuff?
