I don't know if it was mentioned previously in another music reaction, but a fun little fact that I always enjoy is that the musicians for most, if not all, of the songs for the show are a father and daughter duo, Jeff and Casey Lee Williams

Also, Strawberry Sunrise is a reference to the Yellow Trailer where Yang goes to Junior's club and orders a Strawberry Sunrise at the bar before kicking all of their butts

Little funny thing, Armed and Ready was named for two reasons, to signify that Yang is now "armed" physically and metaphorically. Yang is now armed with a new weapon and... a new arm... This plays nod to Yang's voice actress Barbara Dunkelman who loves puns. Yang making puns in the show was inspired by Barbara herself 😄

I have so much irritation with shippers in the FNDM. But it's difficult to talk about at this stage in the story. Mostly it comes down to not liking fans influencing content. The team attack names were exactly the right level of cute fan recognition. Anything beyond that was a tax on limited runtime that already was having a hard time showing everything they set out/needed to. For those familiar, it's like the Banora White posters in FF7R. A great nod to other content that has no real impact beyond that. But god damnit they just had to put Nero in too. It's not a 1 to 1 situation as none of the 7 stuff comes from fans (but is low tier fanfic quality), but it is a similar kind of intrusion on an already overburdened property.

The song "Armed and Ready" is definetly my favorite from this soundtrack. Now, when it comes to the many different ships in the RWBY fandom. I don't want to start a ship war, but the "Blake and Yang" song is called Bumblebee, and the ship name for them is also "Bumbleby". So I will let you do with that info as you wish. Me personally, I am 100% a Bumbleby shipper! So that song is one of my favorites as well. I can't wait for your next reactions!

Lusus Naturae is from Grimm Eclipse. Basically the antagonist wants to mutate grimm, making them stronger, more intelligent. Jury's out on if the game is canon to the show, but personally I do not consider it so.

Yeah the softer part of Let’s Just Live (after the second chorus) could be interpreted about all those that were lost in the Fall of Beacon, but really it’s about how the crew lost Monty, even using his montra in the lyrics

I think this volume is one of the best sound tracks. Both Yangs and Weiss’s songs are in by top 5 of all RWBY songs with the others all being good as well. The Lusus Naturae song was written for a game that Rooster teeth released. main bad was a dr Frankenstein type who was experimenting on Grimm. Yangs song referenced her yellow trailer she told Junior to call her Sir and ordered a strawberry sunrise. Weiss's song is also the song she sings at the concert. while we don’t hear the full song that she sings in the scene I like to think that she sang that full song at that concert with Jacques in attendance.

I'm just gonna comment as I go along down here under my first comment, but I find that Weiss song that y'all enjoyed to be very poignant (it is also my favorite of the Volume too). It starts off operatic like her first few songs were, which I assume her father pushed her into learning to be a good little heiress, and then goes into rock which, imo, is her breaking free of her father's influences. And I think that lullaby song, the picture was Yang, Ruby, and Qrow I believe. Cause their father is blonde and Qrow is black-haired. Then Boop comes on and I'm like "A song I know!" because it's from volume one 2 lol, I guess they put it back on this one because you find out the backstory for those two.

Something I remember during the v4 when the soundtrack came out, some people where making the argument that the song bmblb, was about yang's motorcycle lol.
