2023-09-19 13:56:38 +0000 UTCThe gerbil is fine, he's a miniature giant space hamster. Also, this is easily one of the best games ever made. Would be a great game to play together, since you can have a party of up to 4 people, including however many NPC's you want.

2023-09-18 21:50:50 +0000 UTCThe dragons there weren't exactly "on the good side", but there are good dragons in general. In the Forgotten Realms setting (and D&D as a whole), a dragon's disposition is largely dependent on its species. "Chromatic dragons" i.e. red, green, blue, etc, tend to be evil. With red dragons being the largest, most powerful and most intelligent. While "Metalic dragons" i.e. gold, silver, copper, bronze, brass etc are generally good. With gold dragons being the largest, strongest and most intelligent. There are other dragons, usually from other planes, that kind of complicate matters. But that's the basic principle. Those red dragons, however, are definitely not good guys :D They Mind Flayers are just worse than they are. Baldur's Gate III is a masterpiece. It's one of the best RPGs ever made and, arguably, the best translation of D&D into a game that's been made since old school Neverwinter Nights.

2023-09-17 14:46:25 +0000 UTCBaldur's Gate 3 is one of the greatest games I've ever played, I highly recommend playing the game! I believe it's a better game to experience than to explain too much on, also you guys can both play since it's co-op or one person can play with 3 NPCs in your party. The companions in the game are some of the best ones I've experienced in an RPG. The squid guys are Mind Flayers, a deadly race that enslaves races and sees any being as inferior to them, they consume the minds of other species for their sustenance and use those little tadpoles you saw them putting in to the eyes of people to create more Mind Flayers. They have extremely powerful psionic powers which they use to dominate and enslave other species.

2023-09-17 04:13:41 +0000 UTCThat's not a Gerbil! It's Boo, He's a Giant Miniature Space Hamster and a Hero of the Original Baldur Gate's one and two. Oh, and he has a dumb ranger or something named Minsc who does most of the heavy lifting for him. But Boo is the real hero!

2023-09-17 04:10:03 +0000 UTCI played the early access, haven't mess with the full game yet. Best Dungons and Dragons based video game I played so far, the first two are old but great games too. The "Elf lady" is a Githyanki. She one of the pre make characters you can play as. If you make your own character, she one of your party members. The Githyanki are a race of Astral Plane-dwellers. Survivors of a long enslavement by mind flayers, they became ruthless pillagers and raiders of many worlds in the Prime Material plane. Squidthing are called Mindflayers or Illithids. Sadistic aberrations feared by sentient creatures on many worlds across the multiverse due to their powerful psionic abilities. These alien entities sought to expand their dominion over all other lifeforms, controlling their minds to use them as obedient thralls. They consumed their victims' very personality by extracting and devouring their brains while they are still alive. The Tadpoles are how they reproduce. The Tadpoles are put through the ceremony of ceremorphosis, where they are implanted into a humanoid victim and devoured its brain, taking its place and merging with the body to transform it into a new Illithid.

2023-09-16 22:37:48 +0000 UTCYeah so squidfaces are called Mindflayers (yep the ones that the kids in Stranger Things named the monster after). I think you two would love this game, there's lots of Until Dawn choice based gameplay that is custom tailored to your character which you can create. It's an awesome RPG and it's co-op! Would love for you to check out more of this
