While they do sometimes have Shannon McCormick(Ozpin's VA) overlaying his words, a lot of the time, it's just Aaron Dismuke speaking. And yet, he perfectly imitates the cadence and intonation of Ozpin's speech.

2023-10-15 03:55:14 +0000 UTCI don't know if anyone already mentioned this yet, but the timeline of volume 5 is s little confusing. I think most of the parts that show Blake in volume 5 are actually happening during the volume 4 timeline. In episode 3 of vol 5, Blake's dad tells the crowd that Adam was planning an attack on Haven academy in approx 2 months. But later in the same episode Ozpin tells everyone that they have 1 month before the start of the next school semester. Even though both events happen within a few days of each other.

2023-10-14 22:41:25 +0000 UTCRegarding Ozpin's reincarnations - not to give any spoilers, but fanfic writers and RWBY theorists constantly debate that, especially whether or not he always comes back into a male body or if he can also incarnate into a female body. What he specifically said was "I'm cursed. For thousands of years, I've walked the surface of Remnant, living, dying, and reincarnating into the body of a like-minded soul," and "I'm the combination of countless men who've spent their lives trying to protect the people of Remnant." As a fanfic writer myself, my interpretation (and this is just my personal interpretation / head canon) is that Ozpin always comes back into a male body (because he said "men" not "people") - which would make sense since he would then be the equivalent of the Maidens, whose power passes from one young female to the next. As for the part about being like-minded, I read that as someone who has a lot of the same morals and values as Ozpin, and maybe shares a few personality traits with him, but they may come from any number of different walks of life, different social classes, etc. So, his soul would be drawn to partner with someone who - perhaps - is kind, caring, with a high potential for leadership capabilities, and with a fierce desire to protect the things and people he loves. But other than that, it could be anyone - rich, poor, slave, boy, teenager, young man, mature man, old man...
