I'm not sure why they are so shocked that Myne's slave crest is gone. We saw them remove Raphtalia's crest without Naofumi's consent in episode 4 so it must be possible to take them off without the owner. Naofumi was about to kill her because she was using Raphtalia's speech to Naofumi to win over Wren. Remember her whole "even if no-one believes in you, I'll believe" speech from episode 4, Myne was parroting it nearly word for word.
