2023-11-24 04:26:16 +0000 UTCI'd argue that it's only canon because we assume it to be. Super is canon too, but the story might not even line up with those two episodes. Nobody knows because we aren't there yet, so there's really no point in watching them. If they want to watch GT, then those two episodes are a must since GT is a continuation of those events, but Super takes place literally 10 years before. I don't see a reason to watch them from a narrative standpoint. It might be best to put those episodes off until they become relevant to the main story. Not trying to be rude btw. Just want to explain my thinking regarding those two episodes.

As of right now, those two episodes may as well be filler since Super takes place before those events, and it doesn't seem like the writers are planning to get there any time soon if ever. Those two episodes were meant to be the finale of the series as a whole because the plan was to end there. It wasn't until many years later that they decided to continue the series which makes those two episodes kind of pointless. The last episode (im my personal opinion) involves a huge party. From there, I'd recommend just jumping into Super. Up to you two to decide, but the last two episodes do contain some mild spoilers for Super and may as well be filler mostly. Oh and keep in mind that the second Buu Bits by DBZA has a couple scenes that include those episodes and they definitely include Super spoilers. Those scenes start with "A Super Reunion"
