Empathy is hard for most adults honestly. you can be a good person, Kind and sympathetic without being empathetic. By the time kids are bullying they have already learned that through some type of socialization. The easiest example of learned hatred is something like racism, sexism, etc. These is learned hate. Nobody is born to hate someone else because of their differences. Could probably have many long hour conversations on this haha, but we for sure get your point of view and where you are coming from. 🤗

2023-12-31 23:10:37 +0000 UTCAlso I don't know what kids you've met but being friendly generally seems more like the learned behavior, by default in most media and in life I've seen kids portrayed as the ultimate embodiment of selfishness with little empathy (like school bullying and not caring about consequences for others). Morality is a concept that has to be taught compared to the pure instinct to survive built into our DNA, which leads to selfish choices left on its own more often then not.

2023-12-30 02:26:58 +0000 UTCI mean being perceived as weak is also not the best tactic even if you are trying to be friendly because it gives Hector the belief he can take advantage or even dominate the relationship. He attacked and she retaliated in end, it's not something you necessarily need to walk back so much as you need to just need both parties to agree to call it fair play and a tit for tat I would think.
