2024-01-11 23:09:40 +0000 UTCI always tell people that the movies aren't cannon because a bulk of them can't be placed in the timeline. Some of them can, but they still fit a little messy. TFS really worked with what they had to try to force them into the timeline, except when they werent...like the Christmas specials. The movies aren't exactly linked per say, but there was a very clear lead into fusion reborn from bio broly. It's not that important honestly. They way Fusion reborn was written almost totally retcons the scene in bio broly

Also they way they're watching super including the films is perfect. Resurrection F does it way better than the actual anime did. Also make sure you watch battle of gods the extended, idk if anyone told you but the shorter theatrical version doesn't explain certain things in the film.

The super movies are fun and the arcs in super vary from "holy shit this is amazing to" to "oh yeah, that was pretty fun" if you just have fun with it, it's an amazing ride. Thanks for the content!!

2024-01-04 21:38:19 +0000 UTC"Dragonfist Explosion" is Goku's strongest attack, but he can only do it as a SSJ3 and he's only ever used it in this movie, and various video games (presumably he developed it some time after beating Buu. But the power scaling in Dragonball Super made it useless). I think the directer just wanted to give him a cool technique we've never seen before. And it actually counts as literally the only technique Goku uses that he invented himself. I feel like this movie was more sophisticated than the others, and had a lot more plot than just "let's find a way to skip to the fighting."
