Well it's a game, they had to cut out a lot. Gameplay wise, it makes sense since we can't actually see Pain using his other 5 Pains. It's until the reveal that they mention how he was able to defeat Jiraiya and Kakashi

Things are a bit more intricate in the anime which I why I definitely think this arc is a lot better there, but Pain's 6 Ppl all share the same vision, that was one thing Jiraiya learned during his fight. So if one of the others can see you, then the one you're attacking can dodge even if he isn't actually looking in your direction. There's other stuff but I don't know if they mention it during this fight in the game so I won't say anything yet. But yea this was one of the saddest arcs in the show that completely pull you in. I binged the hell out of at least 10 episodes I'm sure, maybe more.

Kakashi did die but the video didn’t show the emotional moment between Kakashi and Choji. Idk if that’s the game just not having any of the emotional scenes or if they were just cut out for some reason but Choji and Kakashi had a super emotional scene, Kakashi died as Choji fled and when Choji found Tsunade she had destroyed a wall to her hokage mansion because she felt Kakashi’s signature blip out.

Naruto being depressed actually hit me, and it was well done. Pain's arc and a future arc were really well made, and they really pull you in. Also, Kakashi did die to Pain.

In the anime Shikamaru consoled Naruto because they both lost their master's ( Jiraya and Asuma),and Shikamaru told him they had to step up as leaders,it was a sweet moment I wish they kept it in the game.

Guy, Sai and Yamato were on missions while the village was being attacked, Guy alone would of been able to take on Pain himself with his Gates Technique.
