2024-12-15 14:49:11 +0000 UTCI can say as huge DND fan, that episode was awesome for me. Seeing Tiamat at the end was sick. In DND she's the Evil Queen of Chromatic Dragons and tries any method she can to escape her hellish prison, like using a dragon as a literal gateway. Shes also the god/creator who made the Chroma Conclave in Vox Machina so thats nice.

It’s creator (Tim Miller) is the same man behind Netflix's Love, Death, and Robots, which is another animated anthology series that wraps certain episodes up more conclusively than others. It's kind of like watching a bunch of pilot episodes for shows that aren't meant to continue. Highly recommend it if you haven't seen it if you enjoy Secret Level. Has a lot of the same vibes. I came across this article that gives some insight into the show's production though. It’s an action game where each time you die your character gets older, meaning you get stronger attacks and less health. The fights play out like martial arts movies too, so it kicks as both when you're playing and observing it. Watching this just now might have me move it up a little. You two have been giving me a lot of excuses to visit my backlog as of late. This is the only place where I actually care about being part of the conversation.
