The Legend of Korra S2:E9 Full Reaction

Thrid time's the charm: This is the thrid time we see Korra try to cleanse a Dark Spirit and the first time she succeeds- especially after her last attempt left her with amnesia.... Side note: I have a soft spot for the Dragonfly Bunny Spirits as my vtuber model is a bunpup dragonfly that is 1 part puppy, 1 part bunny, and 1 part dragonfly but unlike the spirits the wings are on my back and not my ears.... imagine the neck strain!

Interesting. I'll make note of that and I look forward to seeing if that changes down the line. Just more reasons to be excited for your reactions.

I mean our top 3 would be the children. And of them Tenzin is 1st with Bumi 2nd. Tenzin may be a stick in the mud but he's our stick 😊

Well done with the Dragonfly-bunny call. "Good. I like seeing you fail." Yup, Unalaq is one of those characters. Every failure is more satisfactory. "Dude, she wants to help you 'De-stress?'" Ken! ...how did I never clue into that? That's where my mind goes 90% of the time and I never pieced that together. "I did ditch you for Korra." Glad you had the same thought on that one. Oh man, I hope y'all are ready for the next episode. HA! Yeah, right. Nobody could ever be ready for the next episode. I'm so excited for it. A tad preemptive for this, since I know you guys always stick with this for the season finales, but of Aang's children and grandchildren, who would you place as top 5? "He got together with Asami at her lowest point." Oh no, he did the same with Korra. *Gasp* They accidentally made Mako *that* guy.

Yeah it really shows the glimmer of humanity in the twins and just how evil Unalaq is. Not caring about his own kids. 😒

Bucky's adorableness has made my Monday lol. I really feel for Tenzin in this episode. He has so much legacy to live up to that even the slightest shortcoming his a critical failure to him. I know Aang wanted Tenzin to be the one to carry on the Airbender culture, but I would like to think that Aang wouldn't have actually been disappointed in Tenzin for not being able to get into the spirit world. Aang's first trip into the spirit world was entirely an accident and he HAD to learn things while under the intense pressure of stopping a war. Tenzin's pressure comes from within and I think that is his biggest spiritual blocker. I think if he let go of the mentality of who he thinks he needs to be; "spiritual leader, Airbender, and son of Aang" he would be able to achieve a lot more. He should do it for himself, not for his father's legacy. With Jinora, I do think she is something of a prodigy, but I also think that her youth helps her see the spirits. I think Ikki and Meelo would have also been able to see the spirits if they were a bit more focused and calm enough to not frighten skittish spirits. Jinora is like the perfect combination of knowledge and youth. She has learned a lot but her mind is still flexible and open to everything around her. Tenzin is definitely not a failure because there is no way Jinora could have learned everything she did without him. Their family dynamic is one of my favorites out of any show. I also like this episode because it shows a glimmer of the fact that Eska and Desna have humanity in them, definitely more than their father. Eska was willing to defy her father to get her brother medical attention and I think that really says something about her. Sure she went bananas over the fact Bolin dumped her, but she hasn't exactly been brought up in a great home environment. The twins have been taught by their father to take whatever they want by whatever means necessary and that is toxic and effects their other relationships. I think if Unaloq weren't around they would be a lot happier. There is no way those two would ever be "normal" because they are practically cyborgs, as you both have called them lol, but I don't think they'd be homicidal. It has been YEARS since I've watched all of this show so I genuinely don't remember the entirety of their story. Great reaction as always, I am so excited to see what you think of Friday's episode. That one I do remember and it made my heart happy.
